You Cringe, I Cringe, We All Ciringe

*Whoosh…

A cold wind blew by as an awkward silence took presence between the holy spirit and Sakura. The man, who was the holy spirit Stood still in the air, hands behind his back, eyes closed and head raised towards the sky. His posture reminded Sakura of a cringe character from a movie.

It was a sigh to behold, however, the problem was that Sakura didn't know what to do at that moment.

'Should I attack? Or should I talk first?'

'This is awkward.'

Sakura looked at the man who was still waiting for his three kotow.

'Urgh… you know what, if he does it, I will do it too.'

Sakura smirked internally when she saw the man deep in thought.

'Heh, you think you can out-cringe me?'

The man on the other hand couldn't find the meaning behind Sakura's words.

'What is she talking about? Is she talking gibberish? No, maybe there is a meaning that even I can't comprehend.' He thought.

 "What do you mean by life is a joke?" he asked, his previous godly demeanor slowly fading away.

"Because it is a nightmare a futile struggle against fate. No peace, no rest, only agony and me. Every day is a horror a prison of the mind, No dreams, no sleep, no escape. Only fear and dread. It's a funny joke, so funny that I want to laugh to death. But hope is nowhere, I find it with my never-ending breath."

Sakura's words created more chaos in the man's mind.

'What is she talking about? Why can't I, the great holy spirit, comprehend her words?' he couldn't rack his brain around it.

But suddenly he had an apophany. 'That's right! She is talking about her painful life. It's so easy, since her own life is miserable, she views life as a curse.'

He raised his head again, this time some of his confidences were back.

"Why are you in pain, my friend?" He said dramatically.

This time Sakura furrowed her brows. 'What in the ducking world is this guy talking about?' she had just said a few lines she had read on the internet in her previous life. After all, she had come from the world of Facebook and Twitter. So, saying a few cringe lines is easy as pie.

However, she didn't want to back away now. In fact, Sakura took this man's dramatic words as a challenge.

'Astra, do you have anything that can make my eye color red?'

Sakura then focused on the man, again.

"You want to know about my pain? heh, how could someone like you understand! The pain I've been facing, the eons of suffering." Sakura paused a moment to see the shocked face of the man, and then she continued.

"However, since you want to know, I will tell you. I will show you, my pain."

Sakura removed her hand from her eyes, revealing a glowing red eye. The man was shocked a little to see the red glowing eyes. He was sure that her eyes weren't red before. But now it's red. On top of that, he knew there wasn't any magic being used here.

"This is my burden, the pain I have been carrying for eons." Sakura continued with her speech.

"You see, I am an ancient being that has had something sealed inside. I carry this sealed burden in my left eye." She spoke.

"What…what is sealed inside you?" the man asked as his voice shook a little.

Sakura smirked, "The being that is sealed inside me is…it's called…"

< A devil. >

"A devil," she said while thanking Astra in her mind.

However, as soon as she said devil, the man's face paled.

'She is joking, right? There no devil is sealed inside her. Yes, she must be joking. If a devil is present in this dimension, then this dimension is f*cked. She is definitely joking.'

The man has now lost his composer as he was visibly shaking. Sakura on the other hand was a little confused.

"Don't you joke around with me?" The man said loudly as if denying something.

He put both of his hands forward and a magic circle slowly started constructing. Sakura could feel the hue mana within the spell. It was at least half of her own.

'Uh! We are fighting already?' She pondered a little bit then also started to conjure her own spell.

This time she decided to put all her mana since the man in front of her was doing the same.

Instantly the air started to blow faster as a hum of vibration spread through the air. Around Sakura, the air started to turn into an orange-red cloud while around the man mysterious golden glyphs started to appear.

When the man saw Sakura's spell, he got more angry.

"You. Are you looking down on me?" He could see that Sakura's spell was poorly made. It's as if a newbie in spellcasting with a huge mana pool. But intelligent spirits were very old thus they usually had a lot of experience in spellcasting. Hence, he could only take Sakura's spell as a blatant provocation.

At the same time, Sakura saw the man's spell and had some questions about the golden glyphs in the air.

Sakura made a mental note to try it out in the future.

Unfortunately, Sakura couldn't get to see it as she disintegrated into light particles.
