A Delightful Leg Piece

'Bring your soldiers into this land and I will spare your life.' The queen muttered those words as she looked at the mark on her hand.

She made a contract around a month ago, with a being that she didn't know anything about.

However, the content of the contract was absurd to the point of insanity. According to the contract, she would need to send an army of soldiers to the no man's land. If the other party was satisfied with the amount, she would be free, but if the numbers are small or she doesn't send any soldiers at all then she would simply die.

'No, I cannot die.' She had made up her mind to betray her own husband and send the army to save herself.

"Her Highness is back!" 

While she was in thought she heard a voice down below and realized she had already reached the castle after a month of tiring journey. She lowered her pegasus horse and landed on the elevated platform below.

"Greetings Your Highness." A guard came forward and knelt down. 

"Arrange a meeting with His Highness." the queen said in a hurried tone.

"Yes, Your Highness!"

The guard, understanding that something urgent had happened, quickly went in.

The queen was attended by other servants to clean herself and also the healers came to heal the bruises and cuts she had sustained a month ago.

Soon enough she got to meet the king. As usual, the king was eating like a glutton. He was currently chewing down on leg pieces with a brown red sauce. 

"Now tell me why you called for an emergency audience? And where are the people that went on the expedition with you?"

The queen had already thought of a believable story to convince the king. so she started to narrate the story. She said that a bunch of rebels had made their camp in the 'No Man's Land'. 

The small group of people with her were killed by these rebels. Even Commander Zig died to make an escape path for her.

As the king heard these he remained silent.

"Your Highness, we must send our army to eliminate these ruffians. we must not let them go." The queen urged.

"Hmm, it seems this is really a disgrace for our kingdom if we just let them be."

Hearing the king's thoughts, the queen's face became joyful.

"Or not." but his next words took her joyful expression away.

"What… Do you mean?" The queen asked.

The king thought something for a moment. 

"Put in simple words, your story has too many plot holes," he said while chewing on a leg piece. He then looked at the guard behind the queen.

"But Your Highness, what I am saying is in fact real. there may have been some inconsistencies due to my bad memories but…"

*Swing!

"Arghhhhhhhhh!" Suddenly a great sword bore down from behind her and dismembered her arm.

The queen spasmed on the ground due to the pain of a dismembered arm. She tried to look behind and found the king's personal guard standing with his huge body and a huge sword in his arms.

She immediately realized what was happening here.

Suddenly the pain turned to rage as she looked at the king with hatred.

"Y…you… How dare you do this to me!!! Do… you realize if my father knew this…"

"Yeah, yeah, I know. He would wage a civil war and shit. But that is if he knew." The King interrupted her line.

'No, wonder I didn't see many servants around. He was planning to kill me from the start.' the queen thought as she burned with rage. But she decided to take this humiliation and find a way to survive first. 

Suddenly she felt healing magic near her arm. She looked up to see a healer performing healing magic on her arm.

"Now, I have been interested in this topic since you told me the story. But why are they trying to convince me to send an army to the middle of nowhere?" The king asked curiously.

The queen decided to tell the whole story of what they experienced during the expedition. She told everything word by word from the beginning to the end. Only with a slight twist regarding the content of the contract. She said that the whole country would face demise if they didn't send the army. She didn't have any other choice but to lie about the contract part as her life depended on it.

Strangely the king asked her to repeat the contents of the contract a few times.

"How very sad." the king remarked while happily chewing down on the piece of meat. He seemed to have become more delighted when he heard the truth.

Seeing the King's delight, the queen then became confused.

But even before she could ask about it she was hit in the back of her head and lost consciousness.

On that day, three nearby kingdoms received a letter. the contents of the letter were as such,

To the Rulers of the Neighboring Lands,

Greetings and salutations. I am King Kingsman, the sovereign of the Kingdom of Kingsman, the most glorious and prosperous realm in the world. I write to you with the hope of your utmost response.

I propose to you a war, a war to end all wars, a war to decide the fate of our kingdom and the people living in it. 

This is my proposal, and this is my ultimatum. You have two choices: accept my challenge and face me in war, or reject my challenge and surrender to me in peace. Either way, you will acknowledge me as your king and lord, and swear fealty and obedience to me. There is no third option.

I await your response with anticipation and impatience. if you want to rebel against my kingdom please take your army to the vicinity of the "No Mans's Land". There we shall have our last battle to determine the true rules of this land.

 Please, do not delay your response. Choose wisely, for your choice will determine your destiny and the destiny of your people.
