"Amire, Amire, Amire" Zaire hears his old name. He slowly opened his eyes to see a girl with blonde hair standing before him. She was wearing a school uniform and looking at him with concern.
"Amire," she called softly.
Zaire's eyes fluttered open fully, adjusting to the familiar surroundings of a classroom. He was sitting at a desk, a table in front of him, surrounded by the typical clutter of a school environment.
"That's my old name," he mumbled, still groggy and disoriented.
"Hey, Amire, school is over," the girl said gently.
His eyes widened in recognition as he shot up from his seat. "Apple? It's you! I'm so glad to see you!" he exclaimed, wrapping his arms around her in a tight hug.
Apple, taken aback by his sudden enthusiasm, patted him on the back awkwardly. "Okay, are you alright, Amire?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, though his mind was swirling with confusion.
"Did I just dream all of that? Am I not in a different world?" Zaire thought to himself, trying to piece together his fragmented memories.
"Let's walk home together," Apple suggested, smiling.
"Okay," he agreed, picking up his bag and following her out of the classroom. As they walked down the hallway, they passed by a mirror. Zaire stopped and stared at his reflection. "I'm just the old me," he thought, noting his familiar appearance.
"Is something wrong?" Apple asked, noticing his hesitation.
"Oh, no," he quickly replied, forcing a smile.
"Let me try the system," he thought, hoping to confirm whether his experiences were real. He called out in his mind, "System, system," but nothing happened.
"So, I really was dreaming? Does that mean Harry and Yuki weren't real?" he pondered, feeling a strange mix of relief and disappointment.
Apple nudged him gently, breaking his reverie. "Come on, let's go."
"Right," he said, falling in step beside her.
As they walked out of the school, Zaire accidentally bumped into a boy and his friends. "Oh, I'm sorry," he said quickly.
"Really? You did that just to show off in front of the girl, you loser," one of the boys sneered.
"I don't have time for this or you," Zaire replied, trying to walk away.
"Can you guys stop?" Apple pleaded.
One of the boys lunged at Zaire, but he dodged and grabbed the boy's throat, kicking his legs out from under him. Zaire's fists flew, and blood began to stain his hands.
"Stop, Amire! Amire!" Apple shouted.
"Zaire, Zaire, ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIRE!" Yuki's voice echoed as he blocked Alma's attacks.
Zaire started to regain consciousness. "Was that a memory? No, it couldn't be. My mind is playing tricks on me. But that was my past life, wasn't it? Apple, the school, my old name, me getting into fights almost every day. But this world is different. I can die with one hit. The people are stronger," Zaire thought.
Cerebro, observing Zaire's struggle to get up, smirked. "Oh wow, you're alive? How interesting," Cerebro said, noticing Zaire's leg. "I crushed your leg. How are you standing on it? Are you some kind of monster?"
"Yeah, I am. I'm a dragon," Zaire replied defiantly.
Cerebro laughed mockingly. "Do I look stupid? My brain isn't stupid. The dragon race is dead and has been dead for years."
Suddenly, the system screen flashed in front of him, its message glowing ominously.
