The exchange ended in a tie. The battle goes on....

"Hahaha! How is it Lao Yan? Wasn't I right?"

'That?' Long Chen, who overheard the conversation, looked over in curiousity. 'Is he talking about something relating to the white tiger spirit beast essence? Was there something about it in the manhua? I can't remember the details.'

The bickering continues as Vice-headmaster Qian attempts to lower the amount of spirit weapons he would owe headmaster Yan should he lose the bet.

"We'll be seeing the outcome soon." Long Chen points at the platform where both teams are about to release their spirit fusion attacks. Just like in the book, Director Du intervened in between the two attacks and got injured.

"Look at Director Du's back!!!"

"He was injured by the white tiger's attack!!"

"Oi! Qian Duo Duo!! You aren't playing with me?!"

"You can't tell by looking at me? He is one of your students. Lao Yan, are you trying to make excuses? It's your mistake for not listening to Long Chen here."

"Hmph. Long Chen, go heal Director Du." Headmaster Yan says before leaving.

"On it." Long Chen answers and flies down to Director Du, who is in a state of shock from him being injured by mere students. Team Dai Huabin was celebrating their 'victory', while Team Yuhao was disappointed with their 'loss'.

"Okay! You guys have done very well. I was very surpirsed. I have experienced your spirit fusion attacks first-hand." Director Du compliments them first, "I will nor announce the winners of the new student tournament. The winning team is.....Wang Dong, Xiao xiao and Yuhao!"

His announcement shocked everyone except for a selected few who understood the situation clearly. Dai Huabin was very dissatified and demanded and explanation. Long Chen tried hard to hold back his laughter because he knew that to Director Du, this was practically utter humiliation.

"Let me be the one to explain." Long Chen steps up from the side and removes his disguise. Seeing his face, a lot of girls blushed madly.

"It's Him!!"

"That senior student from the inner sanctuary!!"

'Brother Long?!' both Yuhao and Dai Huabin called out shocked to see him here, especially Dai Huabin who saw him for the first time today ever since entering Shrek.

"Long Chen? So you were there." Director Du turned to him.

"The headmaster asked me to come down." the youth answers. "Moving on, the reason for Team Yuhao's victory is simple....."

Long Chen goes ahead and explains how Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu's fusion attack was even able to affect Director Du in the first place. It was all because Director Du was too concentrated on defending against Yuhao and Wang Dong's fusion that the other team could land a blow. If both clashed, it would definetely be Team Yuhao's complete win.

"Thus, the winner could only be Team Yuhao. Do you all understand now?" No one could argue against his reasoning and quietened down. "Now then, Director Du. Please come here." Long Chen releases his Boundary Mirror and begins to heal the injury.

"All this intensity reminds me of what happened in the finals that year when your team went up against Ma Xiao Tao." Director Du thinks back to the past.

"Yeah, that day was more chaotic though." Long Chen sighs.

The rest proceeded smoothly as Team Yuhao is acknowledged as the champions.

Dai Huabin took the biggest hit, his pride, the thing he treasures the most, suffered big time from this loss. 'Lost....Bastard, how can I lose?! Me! The heir to the White Tiger clan lost!! And to lose to someone weaker than me....in front of Brother Long as well!'

'Ugh! Next time....I will win! You'll see!!' He glares menacingly at the cheery group, happy about their win.

Yuhao shared the news of his team becoming the Champions of the tournament and celebrated with the two members from the Tang clan along with his teammates. Tang Ya asked if they wish to join the clan, Wang Dong and Xiao xiao agreed.

They were all chatting merrily until they heard a voice.

"Looks like you're all having fun."

They all turned their heads and saw the senior student Long Chen standing there. Bei bei was the first one to react, "Hello, Senior Ming."

"Hello, Bei Bei. Don't mind me. I just came here to congratulate Yuhao and his friends for winning the tournament."

"Thank you, Brother Long!"

"As a gift for winning, I'll give you this. Put out your hand for me Yuhao."

Yuhao did as told and Long Chen dropped something on it. "What this?" Yuhao holds it up, revealing that it was a necklace with a diamond shaped gem on it.

Wang Dong crowls over, trying to take a closer look before exclaiming, "It's emitting spirit energy?!"

"It's a special crystal created by me. It has special properties that will defend its owner during a critical moment. You should keep it on you."

"T-Thanking Brother Long, I will make sure to not take it off!"

"Mhm, then I'll get going. See you." Long Chen leaves the scene.

"Hey! Little junior!! How do you know Senior Long Chen?! What is your reltionship? Tell me everything and don't leave any details!!" Tang Ya couldn't hold back anymore and questions Yuhao while grabbing onto his shoulder and shaking him.

Bei Bei had to hold her back, "Calm down, Xiao Ya. You're scaring our junior."

Yuhao breath out in relief.

"But, Yuhao. I also want to ask. How do you know Senior Ming? You two seem very close."

Yuhao, then, explains how he met Long Chen during his childhood and how Long Chen helped him again and again.

"Oh, is that how it is?" Tang Ya says, continuing to munch on the roast fish.

"It's good to have strong connections. He's very strong and reliable."

"I know! Yuhao!" Tang Ya calls the boy.

"Y-Yes?"

"Why don't you go ask Senior Ming to join the Tang clan? Since you're so close, he might consider joining!" the girl requests thinking, 'Then, we'll have another very strong member in the clan. I'm so smart!'

"E-Eh! Ask Brother Long!"

'Senior Tang Ya is so aggressive.' Xiao xiao thought at the side. 'I should be too!'
