'Cus I'm Batm... Hades

"Ughh" a deep, manly voice groaned as the pungent smell of blood once again enveloped his nose, no longer the same smell that he had once enjoyed.

*Splat*

Water slowly dripped down the stalactite into the chasm that slowly churned the chained figure of the God of Death. Never in his life had Hades thought he would experience such blasphemy.

"I will have my revenge, Kim Rok-Su. You sealed me and killed my brothers, stooping so low that you even took my dear wife away from me. Mark my words, for I am the God of Death, Hades. I will have revenge."

Suddenly the abyss shook as a bright light hurled into Hades's obsidian eyes.

"So you want vengeance, my dear child?" Said the gravelly voice. The sound of a male voice shook the entire realm.

"... Yes, father." Hades immediately gave the closest bow he could while the chains tried to bind him, failing to do so under the immense struggle from Hades.

The owner of the voice was none other than the mighty titan king, Chronus. With the power to control time, he had been sealed off in the abyss, perpetually undisturbed by the civil war amongst the newly born gods and their games.

These games were started by the constellations alongside the Dokkaebi, who used their teleportation powers to allow them to select their heirs while the gods acted as power sources and took on forms as temporary constellations.

"So you finally speak my dear boy?" Chronus asked, chuckling at the stupid fate of his eldest son.

"Father..."

"I can send you back. But all I need are 3 words. I have not been the most loving father, but I sure as hell ain't gonna watch my eldest son fall into a spiral of depression. Watching humanity's bond with one another has taught me to learn compassion, and with this compassion, I hope I can gain your forgiveness." Chronus said regretfully.

He too was proud when his wife had sired his first child. But ever since his birth, Chronus' mind had been clouded, his thoughts betraying all that he wanted to do. Sadly, fate is unavoidable, even for immortal beings as powerful as him.

"No. You will be erased for all we know." Hades denied. He had come to realise just how much his father loved him. He couldn't live with himself if he got rid of the one meaningful relationship he has with his twisted family. Just why hadn't his sisters not even turned an eye as they watched them being killed and sealed?

"No my child. I need restitution for all that I have done. Goodbye son. Tell your mother I have always loved her, and your brothers to treat my favourite child well."

Chronus was now fading away at a visible speed, Hades unable to hug his father as the Titan of the time faded into dust, the price for giving his powers to his eldest child.

Tears streamed down the eyes of both father and son as Hades' chains snapped as his ethereal soul left his body and was embraced by fate and time.

It took the sudden appearance of a pen to remove the hand of fate, as it severed the string of fate that connected Hades and fate.

A blue and green aura flashed the world as Hades' soul was swept 20 years back in time, to the day when humanity had ventured into the triads of gods, as well as the entrance of that Hell-spawn, Kim Rok-Su.

A baleful aura rose in the air as Hades rose from his onyx throne, his eyes entrailed by a purple flame, representing his mighty divinity, the eyes of life and death, his true powers.

"Kim Rok-Su, you will pay for messing with me."

Unknowingly, fate watched on as its 2 fated warriors engaged in their long battle. Will it be glorious or short-lived?
