Chapter 42

I left the wedding banquet with the excuse of getting some fresh air, in reality, I was planning for the next step.

This week, another significant event will happen that would strengthen An Yi Wei and Shaoyan's bond together.

That also leads me to my first humiliation.

My phone buzzed and I immediately answer the call.

"Caia! You finally answered!" The familiar voice of A'liu rang from across the phone.

"Well, the wedding banquet is still ongoing, well then what is it?" I stopped at the hotel's garden and sat on the garden's arbor bench.

The hotel was indeed a luxurious one since the garden was covered with colored glasses that prevent any insects from coming in. The pendant lights from above caused a dim light from below where a gazebo is constructed as well as the fountains designed in the middle of the garden.

"Just wanted to tell you that my plan with Rong Heng went as I imagined! I'm telling you- everyone in my family bought our plan! No more blind date! Finally!" I imagine I'll jumping around her bed and shrieking delightedly.

"I'm glad" I truly am, besides the fact that she won't be troubled by her parents' incessant plan for a blind date, her fate has deviated.

It can mean her life would go well or not, but I hope it isn't the latter and I would also give my all just to make sure it won't happen.

"How about you? You okay there? That stinking bastard isn't bullying you isn't he?" If An Yi Wei heard her remarks towards him, he would have the color of a pig's liver in his face.

"I'm fine, you don't have to worry"

After placating her, I stood up and was about to go back to the banquet when I saw a familiar figure coming in my direction.

It was An Yi Wei.

What is he doing here?

I squinted my eyes and vaguely felt that his strides were a bit uncoordinated though he still has that hard stone face.

"Yi Wei?" I ask, still unsure about the person coming in when the moonlight reflected his face.

I jog to his side and then he fell over me when he tripped because of a small rock.

"Ugh..." I groaned out loud, he's a six-footer and even though he's a lean man, his figure is packed with strength.

I could feel his breath on my neck making me feel squeamish, both of my hands struggle just to take his entire figure and before I knew it, I had finally sat with his whole body leaning on me.

"Yi Wei? Are you okay? Do you want me to bring some hangover soup for you?" I caressed his cheeks, that's part of my character, and smoothed his hair.

Is he drunk? I know that every businessman has steel like stomachs who can drink half a gallon or so of alcohol. A Yi Wei must have been used to drinking alcohol by then since he goes to a lot of social events.

He's hot, that's the second thing I also took notice of. Is the wine that bad? Why is he like this? He's burning.

"Yi Wei, look at me" I held his jaw and forced him to look me in the eye.

I saw his face and it was red, he was breathing deeply and the smell of alcohol wasn't that noticeable making me scrunch my brows in confusion.

Why is he like this-

"I'm hot.... ugh... Hot" he mumbled and take his tie off before ripping the first three buttons of his shirt.

"A Yi Wei!" I couldn't help but shout his me but he continued to rip his clothes making me panic.

I held both of his hands but he immediately slides out of my hold and single-handedly took both of my hands and pin them.

I get alarmed at that time and tried to kick him in his most vulnerable part of the body and finally left his tight grip on me.

I ran to the back of the gazebo and found a water hose before turning it on and hit him with the cold water.

He flailed his arms and coughed out loud but I didn't stop until I heard him shouting.

"Stop it- cough... Sto-ugh"

He was like a drowned rat, water dripping from his hair and his eyes were red. I think he's already cool-headed right?

"What the hell are you thinking?!"
