Deeper Aria came across some Silver Spiders again and this time she also applied the advice Logan had given her. She drowned all the spiders with her water element, this type of monsters being only a formality when using the right method.

As they moved deeper into the forest, they came face to face with gigantic yellow and black centipedes twice the size of a man.

"These giant millipedes are known to be very aggressive predators beyond that, they are not too dangerous except when they are in groups." (Logan)

While in front of Aria, was a good thirty of them, who all rushed at the same time without any restraint on her. Dodging several attacks by using her environment, Aria bombarded them with water bullets. Destroying their exoskeleton little by little, until finally, winding her water sword to finish them off with. The thousand squirming before giving their last breath.

Then, as the day came to an end, they set up their little camp. They ate, before each took their turn at guard duty during the night. Their monster hunts continued over the next few days as they came across more D-rank monsters. This forest was a perfect place for young adventurers to get stronger. For the monsters were of the perfect level to train with without the inevitable risk of death. Nevertheless, one had to be extremely careful not to get trapped because adventurers had already lost their lives there.

After 4 days of roaming the forest and hunting D rank monsters, like Bloodsucker, a kind of mosquito with several wings and a carapace as a defense. And Scarse, giant beetles with a white carapace and the rest of the body black with sharp legs and a long pointed horn. Green grasshoppers with black legs, horns and sharp claws. This forest was known to be home to insect monsters, and it lived up to its reputation.

Walking together, they finally saw a different, brighter light. And finally, they reached the center of the forest, a really huge place cradled by the soft sunlight. And in the middle of this place was a very large and beautiful lake sparkling with a thousand lights with very clear water occupying its center.

Aria, found herself bewitched by the beauty of the place, for after all, she had known almost nothing but her home village. While Logan wondered how such a beautiful place could be in the middle of a forest filled with monsters. While in town, a man walked through the doors of the guild.

Logan and Aria then started to walk quietly in the place where no monsters could be seen. The ground in some places was really wet and sinking in a few places.

"Aria, can you smell anything?" (Logan)

"No, I don't smell anything in particular." She says with a sniff before looking at Logan?

"I don't detect anything either." (Logan)

"Can you do detection with your skill too?" (Aria)

"Yes, I detect movement in the surroundings which acts like a radar." (Logan)

"Can I go to the water's edge?" Aria then asked eager to get a closer look at this lake.

"Yes, but be very careful." (Logan)

So Aria headed to the water all happy while Logan go deep in thought.

"From what I've read, the lake has always been there and there is no mention of any water monster living in it. Rather, this is where the monsters come to quench their thirst and have established for some their territories. So why don't I detect any enemies?" (Logan)

While Logan was thinking, Aria was quietly standing at the water's edge, her face happy. Observing the beautiful clear water of the lake, she saw small fish. She tried to catch them for fun, reminding her of the little hunting parties in her village.

In town at the guild, blood was dripping onto the floor in small drops. The man who had entered earlier was bleeding in the hall, with several adventurers moving quickly to help him.

"Hey! Are you okay?" (Adventurer)

Marie also ran to him and realized who the man was.

"You are one of the mans of adventuring groups that disappeared a few weeks ago in the forest! What happened out there!" Mary asked alarmed.

While Logan thought over and over again:

"The groups of adventurers that didn't come back, the monsters that aren't here and have deserted this place." (Logan)

He then focused solely on his surroundings.

"The ground strangely too wet in places and especially the noise. Because even in the forest there were bird sounds, but in the center of the forest there is nothing, not even a little noise." (Logan)

Taking all this into account it was then that Logan realized what was happening.

"If predators are leaving their territories, it means an even bigger predator has appeared!" (Logan)

Logan's gaze then turned quickly to Aria playing in the water, as his radar suddenly picked up something. And that at the same time Marie gaze broke down as she heard what the adventurer had to say.

"A Rank B monster has appeared, it's a Sea Serpent!" Said the injured adventurer.

With a monstrous crash, a gigantic snake emerged from the water, its open jaw revealing multiple rows of sharp teeth. Measuring tens of meters high with large scales, large dorsal spines and a large spiny ruff around the head.

Aria was surprised to find herself facing a monstrous beast looking down on her, casting its gigantic shadow. Without waiting he threw himself on Aria who couldn't even react due to her surprise and the intimidating size of the beast. With its mouth open, the creature fell on her and Logan barely managed to save her. The attack violently hit the ground breaking it, raising a smoke screen.

Several feet away from the impact, Logan held Aria still stunned and surprised, having been narrowly saved.

"Come to your senses Aria!" Logan shouted for her to come to her senses as soon as possible.

Aria finally came to, the snake coming out of the smoke caused by the impact of her attack and directed its gaze towards them.

"What do we do?" Asked Aria alarmed, knowing that the situation was critical.

"Analysis!" Logan launched to see the monster's status window

"Oh shit!" Shout Logan after seeing the skill change ground.

"Crack, Boom!"

The whole area suddenly collapsed under their feet, the nearby trees being swept away with them. While a torrential rain, suddenly fell on the area filling the place with water. While Logan and Aria stood now on one of the tree trunks that was now floating. Both of them face to face with the gigantic monster that was now in its element.

"Aria, remember when I forbade you to use your ice element." Said Logan focused on his opponent.

"Yes." She replied just as focused.

"Forget it and go hard!" (Logan)
