Apprenticeship 5
Hello there will be no chapter next week except for contributors. I will concentrate during this week on exclusive chapters reserved for contributors.

As the makeshift arena formed by Moïse spell disappeared as it had appeared. Éléonore and Karine were delighted with their successful fight. While those who remained behind could finally let out a sigh of relief. Emma was lying on the floor exhausted from the repeated spells as Jay returned with these burns. With Shawn on his back whose wounds were slowly beginning to heal. Beth, Marine and Eva, they were in a hurry to go and talk to the 3 big protagonists of this victory.
"It was amazing when your last attack lifted the goblin into the air!" Beth enthused as she spoke to Éléonore.
"And Karine, you handled your hand-to-hand combat very well. Facing a monster twice as big as you." Said Marine with eyes filled with stars.
"It's nice of you, but if we won it's because of Maïli." (Karine)
"It is true that the main architect of our victory is her. And it is still her in the last fight who protected us and developed this plan. And finish the monster with our combined attacks." (Éléonore)
While everyone was now congratulating Maïli, they noticed that her complexion was pale.
"Maïli are you okay?" (Éléonore)
With burned hands and a pale complexion, Maïli collapsed on the floor.
"Maïli!" Eva exclaimed moving closer to her immediately.
Eva tried to wake her up, but alas, there was no response. As Moses and the instructors approached them.
"Well, this girl has exceeded all my expectations." (Moïse)
"She is really talented, I can't wait to take her under my wing." Says Zem enthusiastically.
"What's wrong with her!" Eva then asked alarmed, as the instructors spoke quietly.
"It's nothing, it's just due to fatigue and the burns on her hands." Peney then reassured her about her condition.
"With a good night's rest and everything will be better for her." (Moïse)
"All right then, you can treat her." (Eva)
"Priest Jean can you please heal her." (Moïse)
The priest then approached her and cast his magic. While a soft light illuminated her body healing all her wounds. These more serious burns on the hands finally disappeared after a few good seconds. But Maïli did not wake up.
"Why doesn't she wake up?" (Eva)
"My healing spells heal the wounds, but the body fatigue still remains. And I have not mastered the proper spells to remove this fatigue." (Jean)
Moïse and the priest Jean then tended to everyone's wounds. After the treatment everyone went back to their rooms. Some have fallen asleep just by coming into contact with their bed. Whereas Maïli she had been taken by Eva, accompanied by the small band. They held a small meeting in his room. Eva, Eleonore, Beth, Marine, Max, and even Karine.
"I think by now you've gotten Maïli's message about the importance of getting strong as soon as possible." (Eva)
"Even without his message, it was sure that we had to become stronger to survive." (Marine)
"But with this test it's even clearer, we're going to have to get strong if we want to survive. Against the monsters but also beware of the royal family." (Beth)
"Not just survive, but live!" (Éléonore)
"We need a plan and a leader." (Karine)
"Exactly and I think everyone knows who the right person is." (Max)

All the people in the room then raised their hands without the slightest hesitation. Maïli lying on the bed became at this moment the leader of the small group. While at the same time Moses was giving his report to the King and to his children who were at his side.
"So how did that test go?" (King)
"This test was able to pick up several really good potential." (Moses)
"Go ahead if confide in us the details of your analysis." (King)
"To begin with, I will mention Emma:
The holy priestess who will be one of our biggest assets. Her healing magic is already very strong, as she levels up in the future she will become an indispensable part of a group. Especially if she learns and gets attack abilities in addition to those healing abilities already.
- Then comes Méverick despite an obvious lack of self control, his abilities will make him a good tank.
- With a little training, Maël will become a very good mage, already taking the initiative to attack and protect her priestess.
- Jay has a very good sense of analysis and placement. Despite a poor mastery see for the moment unable to use any element and skills. But this will be corrected very quickly and without problem.
- Marine and Beth did not show anything particularly interesting. We'll see what happens next for her.
- Dan and Max are unfortunately unable to fight, they will be trained by the guild of blacksmiths and alchemists.
"Their professions will surely benefit us, Hopefully they are both talented."
"I see, but the most important thing and the hero in all this?" (King)
"Well, he hasn't shined very brightly and has been pretty mediocre, despite some very good skills and elements. We're going to have to invest a lot more time to get him to become our centerpiece." (Moïse)
"It's more than unfortunate, but if you say you can correct that then it's just a slight setback." (King)
"Well now, I'm going to move on to those who did best on this test from weakest to strongest. First of all, Éléonore is a grey mage with a good command of her element. Strong, enterprising, despite some shortcomings that need to be addressed and more talented than Maël without a doubt.
- Then comes Karine who has a surprisingly good command of the sword as she was able to exchange many blows with a high goblin. And perfectly knew how to use one of these skills nevertheless lack of control over his lightning element.
And finally the most talented of all, Maïli the Paladin. "(Moïse)
So that made Sarah smile slightly, without anyone noticing.
"She masters her wind element far superior to others as well as these skills. Fighting sense, leadership attitude. Despite also some shortcomings, she is the most promising element of all." (Moïse)
"Um, I see, but focus most of your efforts on the shawn hero training." (King)

"Yes my king that will also be done." (Moïse)
The next morning around 10 am Maïli, as for her, finally came out of her sleep. As she looked out the window of her room onto the practice field. She could see Eva, Éléonore and the rest of the group practicing.
"Well, it looks like the message got through." She said with a confident smile.
"Sniff...Please someone..." (???)
As whispers echoed in the darkness of the castle's basement.
"Please help me..." (???)
While distant footsteps could be heard getting closer and closer. Until finally a slight light appeared and then a silhouette appeared in the shadows. Revealing a man walking in the darkness with a torch. The footsteps finally stopped and the light illuminated what appeared to be a cell. The light also revealed a young elf girl in torn and dirty clothes.
"Unfortunately for you no one will come to help you. Since I burned your entire village except you, my precious gift. Or should I call you my new toy." Said Raphaël finally revealed by the light of the lamp.
