It didn't take long for John to disarm Olaf. John cut the man's arms before dragging his body to Arthur. The group was already used to Arthur's orders. He wanted to personally kill enemies.

It was a clean beheading. Olaf's head flew in the sky painlessly.

"You truly are a freak, Arthur", William said, "A year ago, you were judging me for burning a village. Now look at yourself, killing acolytes without a hint of hesitation"

Arthur smiled in return. It was not a sadistic pleasure. This misunderstanding was caused by his ring. If he didn't kill the enemy, he wouldn't earn any EXP.

Arthur nodded and appraised: "It is a mud golem summoning book. I don't think any of us can use it proficiently. Golems can only move if the acolyte controls it. Let's give it to Dorian"

William cursed: "Every valuable item we find goes to him...I know that our equipment was funded by him, but haven't we repaid our debts already?"

Arthur calculated in his head: "Actually, we are still pretty much indebted to him"

Every week, Arthur would complete at least a mission with his three subordinates. After all, there was no better training than tracking Arcane Faction Acolytes, and ambushing them. The only reason why no war had burst between the [Arcane Faction] and the [Law Enforcement Faction] yet was due to Dorian Sylvester not taking action even after learning of their evil actions, and Arthur leaving no witness after attacking Arcane Faction acolytes.

It was already the eighth group of Arcane Faction acolytes that Arthur took down. He personally killed 21 of them, 22 if you counted the agonizing Emma lying on the ground. Of course, that would have to wait until Evangeline tortured all information she possessed out of her.

More than thirty acolytes had been killed already by Arthur's group. No one knew about his actions besides Dorian, who was closely assessing the murders and classifying them as 'accidents in the wild' within the tower.

Although he was abusing his authority, Dorian did so knowingly.

The Arcane Faction no longer was the strongest faction in the Ivory Tower. Having lost half of their acolytes, including two of the eight intermediate-rank acolytes they possessed, the Crimson Clan was now the undisputed strongest faction. However, the Crimson Clan was calmer, and unlike the Arcane Faction, it was backed by a Magus Family. It wouldn't act against the Law Enforcement Faction, since it wouldn't represent the Crimson Magus Family's will.

"Seventeen Magic Crystals", Evangeline counted, "How many more do we have to kill in order to be free from Dorian's grasp?"

Arthur was the one who had convinced everyone to accept a loan from Dorian. The latter came from an incredibly wealthy Count Household. Of course, the reason why Dorian was so wealthy was due to his father's inheritance. His father had created the Law Enforcement Faction, and killing acolytes proved to be quite the lucrative activity. His father, an intermediate-rank acolyte, had accumulated quite a few enchanted items and magical artefacts which he never sold.

Dorian accepted them all, and sold them all, only keeping a few. With the money he gathered, he was about to run the Law Enforcement Faction, and even purchased a [Reactive Elixir], allowing him to break through the intermediate realm, a few years ago.

His remaining wealth had been spent on Arthur and his elite team.

Arthur alone was given the [Moonlight Ring] and 200 magic crystals.

Evangeline was given the [Ring of Healing], and 50 magic crystals.

John was given the [Imperial Enchanted Sword], and 40 Magic Crystals.

William was given two fire spells, the [Fire Scepter], and 100 Magic Crystals.

In total, it amounted to 3 Magical Artefacts, 1 enchanted item and nearly 400 Magic Crystals.
