RECORD OF THE GRIM REAPER

The mysteries of the Grim Reaper life before he wandered around the universe guiding souls. As Chàros woke from a dream he realised that the world is full of mysteries as he barely had any memories of his past. Note from author: I'm just writing what I want and wasn't good at it, I'm not good at summarising as well but this is a story that has been bugging me so I'll be writing this in my free time so feel free to read or extract a story from it. It might bring some trouble in understanding the story. But like any other story it will be explained over time.

PART 3

"Behold the greatest invention of the dragon kind... The Tesla!!!!!" She said as she opened the security door.

Behind her is a big curl metal with a big round metal ball. This seems to be some kind of an infinite electrical energy source but with certain limitations.

"Surprised!?" She looked at us with a proud smile on her face.

I am more in awe of her dress and profession. She looks like someone you would find in an alley of prostitutions.

*Clap*

Shenor clapped. " Chàros what do you think?" He asked my opinion.

"I'm not sure why you're showing me something as important as this but I gotta say I didn't expect that."

"Didn't I tell ya?" The old lady said still feeling proud.

She doesn't look old nor act old so I guess she's a hyper person.

"We've been working on this project for about a week now. And Chàros, the reason why I called you and showed you is..."

"To help your sister, isn't that right?" I said." But what does this machine have to do with that?" I asked.

"Well about that, I lied about my sister's sickness. But now I'll tell you the truth." Shenor took a deep breath.

Suddenly the atmosphere changed and all I felt was the tension coming from them.

"When the case of the mysterious death started spreading, I requested help from different countries and all those who came to help or observe what was going on died. Then one of the adventurers who agreed to help us happened to be a prince who was sworn to be the next king." He said as if he was about to shed tears."And as you might have already expected, they accused us of killing them by some kind of unknown methods. The king of that kingdom demanded something in return for his son's death but we refused. There was silence from them for about a week but then one day my little sister went missing. There was a note on her bed where it is written ' make the Infinite energy and your sister will return safely, the instructions on how to make one is given on the tiny book placed on the table'. They ask for such a task because we have the required materials according to them." He sounds mad but is doing his best to control his anger with a fake smile." I haven't told anyone about this other than Lein, Astrology and you."

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked.

"I know that your friend is in trouble right now but I need your help." He said.

"How can you trust me. I might be from the place who kidnapped your sister. And can't you just burn down their kingdom? I mean you're a bunch of dragon-born."

"I can understand why you asked but I know you're not from Midas Kingdom because you're not imbued with gold. And even though they are humans they have heroes who can kill us all alone. We are in a tight spot right now. The mysterious death and this issue is troubling us." Shenor said

"What am I supposed to do? I came here about the case of the mysterious death. Even if I'm supposed to help you—"

"Of course we'll reward you separately." Astrology said.

"No I was trying to say that didn't you guys already meet the requirements to save your sister?"

Since they built what they demand. I'm not sure if they really needed my help unless...

"Well about that, this Infinite electrical energy generator is not possible to invent. This isn't some science fiction." Astrology said.

As I thought.

"I see, so they took your sister without the intention of giving her back. But if that's the case shouldn't she be dead or messed up by now."

"That's what I'm worried about. Tomorrow morning, I was planning to ambush them. I will need your cooperation." Shenor said as he sat down. "What do you say Chàros?" He asked.

From the way he was acting, it appears to be true but will she still be alive?

I'm sure he just wanted her body back even if she's already dead or if was holding a grudge ever since. Either way this is not a good idea because it's clearly a bait.

"I think this was just a bait to wage war on you Shenor. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to just invade them."

"But..."

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure you're a good person and have no intention of waging war but it's best if you lay low." I said.

"I don't think you understa—"

"But you can leave this to me. I'll do something about it." I interrupted Astrology as she was about to raise her voice.

"What can you possibly do alone?" Shenor asked.

"I don't know. But can I have a look at her picture for reference on who to save?"

"Chàros, Are you sure you can do this alone? The heroes will come after you, you know." Shenor said a bit worried.

"Let's say if you believe in me. Only then I can bring back your sister." I said. "If you decide to let me handle them give me her picture tomorrow. I'll be sleeping now." I said and left.

"Should we really leave this to him?" Astrology asked.

I could feel Shenor slightly smiling behind my back."He said he can if I believe in him so why not!" Shenor said.

"All my hard work for the past six days has gone in vain." Astrology's voice could be heard faintly.

I decided to head back to my room and lay down on my bed.

"Demanding something impossible, huh."

A request to make an infinite source of energy. Where did they even come up with such an idea? If I recall correctly, Astrology said something about science fiction.

Feeding themselves their fantasy and forcing others to make something out of it just because they have the same material as instructed in the book is not what a normal person would do. Even if he wants something in return for his son's death. This isn't even a way someone would react when losing someone precious.

Although this idea of infinity is impossible, it's technically possible to create an energy source that can last hundreds of years but the humans aren't well developed yet.

I should probably sleep.
