RECORD OF THE GRIM REAPER

The mysteries of the Grim Reaper life before he wandered around the universe guiding souls. As Chàros woke from a dream he realised that the world is full of mysteries as he barely had any memories of his past. Note from author: I'm just writing what I want and wasn't good at it, I'm not good at summarising as well but this is a story that has been bugging me so I'll be writing this in my free time so feel free to read or extract a story from it. It might bring some trouble in understanding the story. But like any other story it will be explained over time.

"Thank you, Chàros!" Chloe shouted as she entered her institution's gate waving at us.

"..." I waved back at her.

Chloe ran inside the academy happily.

"She sure has grown." Panora said as she wiped off a single tear being dramatic.

"Is that so?" I asked with a low tone.

"..."

Panora nodded in response and somehow she's still wiping her tears.

It's been over a week since the incident occurred. Adriel came back the next day, it was a chaotic experience. The whole universe was completely restored, all humans that have died were all brought back causing the shifting demon to disappear due to a forceful claim of the physical body by everyone else due to a forceful revival.

The next day, the last day of entrance exam for Chloe's dream academy where I spent one hundred Orion gold coins to admit her and the next day results were out and she passed the entrance exam. I spent another ten thousand Orion gold coins to cover for her whole academic year till she graduated unless she had to repeat the same level of education.

You might ask where I got the money. Well about that...

"I'll be leaving." I said and decided to leave.

"Oh, Chàros!Good morning!" Ray said.

"Morning!" I replied. "Good luck." I whispered to him.

"Huh! What are you— you didn't tell her,did you?" He whispered to me.

"Why would I?" I said.

*Sigh* He wipes off his sweat as if he's sweating.

"Well then!" He ran inside the academy.

Well he's the one who really paid all her requirements. I met this guy and interacted with him after the incident, he's the same guy who helped Chloe and Panora during the time they were lost. I was able to conclude that he liked Chloe when he asked me why I am with them. Which is a convenient thing because I can make use of his status to help me with my poverty issue.

Of course this won't work out if not for Adriel who was like a big brother to Ray in the past. But I think it's more or less the opposite because Adriel is mentally and logically ten years old but he doesn't act like one which is odd because one needs experience to evolve.

As for Aias and Alata, well they're living happily in their newly renovated mansion.

Alata tried to offer me her property for helping her but I have no intention of accepting her rewards because that's all she has and she needed it more than me.

For some reason Aias was revived with his current age of around forty.

As for Panora and Chloe's property, Yeah, they stole it, practically. It was an unkept and abandoned house but now I officially bought it for them with a loan from the guild.

Adriel seems to have developed feelings for Panora at first sight but it was totally one sided because Panora wants to take care of her sister only.

Panora looks after a farm owned by Aias's father which he now currently owns. Adriel helped out when he had time.

They all will be living comfortably in the future but as for me...

*Cling*

The doorbell rang as I entered through the door.

"Welcome!" Schylla greeted me. "What can I help you with?" She asked with a smile which she probably faked.

The room is always filled with people who drink together. Old and young, all adventurers  use it as a meet up spot.

"Can I get an S rank missi—"

"No!"

"Let me finis—"

"No!"

"Schylla, I don't have time to play your games. I'm in a rush and I don't want to leave without paying all my debt." I said.

"Too bad for you I'm not playing around." She hesitated.

"Let him do it, the heroes aren't coming back anytime soon anyway." A voice came from inside the backroom.

Schylla's father joins the conversation. The reason why Schylla's father allows such things is probably because Schylla told him about what I did back there at that time.

"However on one condition!" He said.

"That is?"

"If you die, your family has to pay in your stead." He said.

"I don't have one."

"Seriously!??" Schylla and her dad said in sync.

Both of them look disappointed because if I somehow die during the mission then the debt will disappear into thin air like it never existed but it's gonna scar them for life because the amount that I borrowed is one hundred thousand Orion gold coins. Losing this huge amount of money is gonna be the worst nightmare they have.

"Don't worry, I won't die." Although I knew this won't convince them I still said it.

"But..." Schylla's father was reluctant to let me have it too.

"Let me join you. I'll pay for your debt." A guy came up to our talk. He has the same appearance like the shifter that I met that day.

"Who are you?" Schylla's dad asked.

"Sorry. My name is Chris, I'm part of the royal family named Avendor." He took out a card as they were doubtful.

"A B-ranked adventurer, huh." Schylla's father said.

"I'm not planning to pay using someone else's money." I said. " I'm technically in debt because of that."

"Then I'll come along to make sure your debt is not unpaid." Chris insisted.

"Like I said–"

"Why do you let him come along? I mean the heroes aren't coming back anytime soon." Schylla's father said with a smile.

What a sly man. Letting a B-ranked join me on an S-ranked mission just because he wanted his money to return.

I heard the second sentence twice now. But I wonder who these heroes are and, where are they during the incident day?

"I see, well then register us in. Also make me one adventurer traveller's plate, I'll pay extra." I demanded.

Schylla took out a paper from within the drawer and picked up her feather to write down. Just before her ink made contact with the paper Chris spoke up.

"Sign him in too." Chris pointed towards a scaled man.

No one other than us seems to forget what happened that day. I don't know if this is a side-effect of the reversal of casualty used by that man.
