"Master! That is dangerous!" Nyx could not help but admonish her master as soon as she landed next to her. Her ruby-red eyes doubled upon witnessing her jump from the top of the gates as if she had unlimited access to life—when in reality, she was a mere mortal that was susceptible to eventual death even if she had access to a system.
The concept of death was something so foreign for Nyx—a member of the sacred beast clan of the phoenix. She existed in historical books and even in archaic records of the lost era.
Nyx transformed back into a child after displaying her glorious feathers. She just wanted to stand side by side with her master!
