The Curse
The loud zap of the lightning bolt had awoken Sue Terin from her naked sleep. Clutching the seam of the blanket, she disregarded the ache in her back as she stood with nothing but a towel wrapped around her. The darkness of the room was frequently illuminated by the storm that was raging outside the tower walls.
"That's some nasty storm out there," murmured Sue Terin. She turned to the cabinet and dressed herself.
Just as she finished tidying her bed, the doors swung open.
With vigilance hiking up, Sue Terin was about to raise her hand and release a Killer Slash attack when her eyes caught a familiar staggering silhouette.
On instinct, she found herself walking forward in fast steps. The next thing Sue Terin realized, she caught Heidi when he fell forward.
"Oomf! What happened to you? Hey?" She tapped his back but his face remained unmoving in between
With a wave of her free hand, the light opened. Illumination filled the once-darkened room.
