The sound of chains was the first thing that registered in Sue Terin's mind as soon as she regained consciousness. As she pulled her leg on instinct, the rattling of the chains grew louder. It was then that she opened her eyes. What met her brought her back to the time when she woke up inside a cage – on the night of her rebirth inside the Tessera Auction House of the Vampire City.
Her breath constricted for a moment before Lordie's voice pulled her back to the nightmare that had once plagued her first lifetime.
"Lasie, breathe! Calm down, Lassie! We are here with you! You are not alone anymore! Your beasts and the system are here with you, Lassie!" A soft and warm fur followed, touching Sue Terin's trembling lashes as if it was wiping her unshed tears.
Opening her eyes, she was met by a three-tailed white fox close to her face. It blocked her line of vision, stopping her from looking around.
