I don't accept them at all!!

'After waiting for them to stop daydreaming, we went straight to the dining room to eat our breakfast. Logically, servants and nobles don't eat together at the same table, but why should I care about that? They will be my wife in the future. They should get accustomed to this kind of treatment such has having a personal chef, luxurious tableware, the finest meals they could have dreamt eating etc.. Further more, where the family members eat is private. Only personal chefs and family members have access to the room. The chefs won't say anything as they will loose their job because, it would be considered treason to speak of what is happening inside to anybody who doesn't have the rights to enter the dining room. So the only person which could be trouble inside the room would be mom, but she usually doesn't eat there. She normally eats in her office as she doesn't have much time to go to the dining room and comeback afterwards. She is really busy after all. Which means there should be no danger eating in the dining room with Emma Valerie and Alice or so I thought.'

"Mom? W-what are you doing here?" I said as I saw her enter the dining room. Sweat could be seen from my forehead. She looked at me with a smile then looked to the women which were close to my sides I could see her smile subside the girls too. 'Valerie was to my left and Emma to my right and Alice, well I didn't have more place to the sides as they are the main seats for my wifes. Ahem, soon to be anyway. Since we had an agreement that she would be my wife only in two years, I can't consider her my wife as she could change her mind about it so I do not want to get too close to her. It would be painful for me if she changed her mind about wanting to be my wife. Of course it's not like I feel nothing for her, it's just that I want to make sure of what her feelings are about me. I let her seat anywhere that she wanted. She opted to be seated in front of me so that she could see my as I ate.'

"Nothing, I just wanted to eat with my own beloved son. Can't I? But, I see that there are leeches that are hanging around my son." 'I saw eyes of pure hatred when she looked at the girls close to me. But , when looking at me her hatred subsides and changes for deep care. What a big contrast.'

Silence flowed trough the room. The girls were quiet. Looking at them, I could see that they were afraid. They were trembling and looking down at the ground trying not to have eye contacts with my mom. After all they were speaking to a 8th circle mage who was their employer and had the control on their life literally. For me, I was speechless. I didn't know what to say. I wasn't afraid of my mom anymore, but I didn't want to deal with her anger and it could be dangerous for the girls. She is strong and they aren't mage only Emma is and she aren't that strong either I'm sure she started just before I came back from my training which means she is weaker than me. Well even if she was stronger than me, she still wouldn't stand a chance against mother.

I noticed that she looked at Emma with even more furry than the other two, but I didn't know why.

"Emma, why did you betray me like that? I gave you a version of the Mana meditating technique so that you could assist Jack in the future not become his freaking wife!!"

I didn't let time for Emma to speak as I spoke what was on my mind. "How did you even know that I wanted to make her my wife? The other day you said that you wear earplugs so that you wouldn't hear Emma and I's business when I asked you why you were wearing them."

"I don't wear them anymore. I came to accept it. It wouldn't change anything even if I wore them. You wouldn't have stopped either way so I accepted it. But, I didn't accept her and anyone in fact to become your wife only Emily!! Poor Emily What will you do about her? Huh!!"

"W-what? W-who even is she? I don't know her. I was never made aware that I had someone to be married with!"

Of course, you didn't! I was going to tell you now when we would be eating our breakfast! She is the first daughter and heir of the Astye Family. We had talk about marrying you and her when you weren't even born! You were in my womb when it happened. when we knew you were a boy, we were already in talk with the Astye family for the marriage. We were already good allies, but your marriage would have strengthened our bond even further." She suddenly looked more sad than before. "B-but, when you were kidnapped the talk was buried. How could they marry their daughter when the man who was supposed to be the groom was assumed dead after having searched for him for a year."

"So you weren't sad because you lost me, but because you lost a great business deal with the Astye Territory? Was all the love you showed me fake?" I said trying to shake her a little. I knew damn well that she cherished me like no one else. But, I think that shook a little too much as I got startled. She slammed her right fist on the wall that was at the entry of the dinning room. The girls jumped out of fright when she slammed her fist.

"Of course not!! You're the best thing that I happened in my life!! At the time of your kidnapping, I didn't think about the agreement between our for even a second! I swear! It's just that I thought it would be better and safer for you to marry into the Astye family when I found you. That's why when you came back to the family, the talk between our families was revived." She looked desperate trying to explain herself to make Jack understand that she didn't do that out of love with him, but did it with the best intentions.

"Alright. But, did you ever think about my feelings when you did that? Did you ever think that I wouldn't be comfortable with your decision and that I would rather want to marry the person that I loved and cared about instead?"

"B-b-but, you would be safer and you could enjoy even more riches!! You would even have a wife that would assist you with everything! That is the role of a wife she would do anything for you without complaining!"

"What is the use of a wife that I don't even know and don't care about at all. Further more, what's the point of more riches when we already are the richest family between all the territories? Also, are you insinuating that our army is weak? I wouldn't be safe here? You are a 8th circle mage you are as strong as the king! And you are saying that it would be safer for me if I married them?"

"Aaah." She sighed. she couldn't respond to my barrage of questions. "Alright you win. BUT, I still can't accept them! I'll talk with the Astye family about what we can do with this situation, but don't expect a great answer. The marriage could still go trough and you would still need to marry Emily.

Answering to her wasn't me, but Valerie.

"W-we c-could be h-his m-mistresses. I t-think we d-don't have a-any right t-to ask to be m-married to h-him." I looked at her shocked. 

"He, you are right. We could do that. That's a great idea!" Skylar said as a little smile formed on her face, but quickly tried to hide it. "Either way, I'm going now, but don't forget!! I don't accept those girls at all!! I looked at her leaving and slamming the door right after she exited the dinning room.

I sighed of relief. "At least she didn't kill you or anything. But, are you really satisfied with being mistresses?"

"We are. We didn't even think we could be your mistresses. We thought we would be hiding ourselves from everyone and didn't even have the thought that we could be marrying you or even be mistresses. Of course we were really happy when you said that you would marry us, but we didn't think it would really happen. Just the thought made us really happy. She said smiling to her ears while the other two girls nodded strongly to what Emma said. That made me even more sure. I was going to marry them. I didn't care about the Astye family or whatever. But, if I can't marry them I would need a plan and I should prepare for that.

Behind the door was Skylar. She was standing still laying her back on the door. "It's not that easy, we need their help. I can't defend you and your lovers when there are signs of demons in the Osta and Skaica territory. We could be wrong, but it's rare that my reconnaissance team is wrong. That's why you need to get stronger fast. this is also one of the reason I am sending you to the academy Jack. I could have accepted them if they were capable to defend themselves, but Emma just started meditating and the other two aren't even mages. She thought to herself while hearing what Jack and his lovers were talking about.
