Bruce’s “Important” Thought Ch.11

(3rd Person POV)

In a room inside a mountain there was a meeting. This wasn't any normal meeting as the people in there were all important people such as Top Tier Guild Master, government officials, and power houses of the human domains.

They were all there for the annual meeting of humanity. They started this in the past because the appearance of other races and mana. They talked about the safety and security of the human race and how to prevent others races from being a threat.

Currently everyone that really matter was here including all the SS rankers. They were chatting with each other, some where laughing ,others were joking, some of them looked like they were arguing.

They were the strongest and had the most say in the room. The SS rankers a power to truly fear.

Their names were:

Lewis Carter- Known as The Mountain

Steve Miller-Known as Hawkeye

Ava Mist- Known as The Misty Saint

James Ruinheart- Known as Frost Burn

Ashley Ruinheart- Known as The Magical Fist

Luna Stellar- Formerly Known as The Strongest Space Magician. Now know as The Calamity Magician

Bruce (No Last Name)- Known as The Flaming Reaper

Scott Taylor- Known as Dark Blade

Ian Robinson- Known as the The Golden Sorcerer

Chloe Sparrow- Known as Sword of Chaos

All these people were the SS rankers of humanity. They were just chatting since all them were good friends

Soon they stopped talking and started the annual meeting. They had a few things that they needed to talk about. But of course it wouldn't be a real meeting if problems were not occurring during the meeting so Bruce made sure to have some fun.

(Bruce POV)

The meeting had just started but Bruce didn't pay much attention since the first part is usually a review of what we know and is really boring.

What he think about was his strength compared to the other SS rankers. Currently he could confidently say he would win against any of the SS rankers in the human race.

But their were other races and they also have SS rankers. The Elves have 8 SS rankers. The Dwarfs have 3 SS rankers as they weren't a combat race. The Demons have 10 SS rankers. The Devils have 7 SS rankers. The Orcs have 5 SS rankers. Dragons have 12 SS rankers. Giants have 5 SS rankers. Vampire have 4 SS rankers. Beast Humanoids have 9 SS rankers. These are all the current SS rankers that are in the world. The total being 73 SS rankers between the races.

Their are even more SS ranked monsters out there. But we decided that those would be under the category of animal besides of species with intelligence.

I can confidently say that no SS ranker is a real threat to me. Even the strongest ones like Luna, Chloe, Ian, the Elven Queen, the 4 Dragon Elders, the Demon King, Devil Lord, and Beast Monarch were no threat to my life and would give me a little trouble based on the novel which has proven true.

Now why aren't there SSS ranks out there? It simple really, you can't get their without the catalyst or in the Protagonist case he can there with system points. This knowledge isn't known and it hasn't even been discovered, but I know this since I read the novel.

What is the "Catalyst"? Well in short term it a piece of the universe combine with the densest mana even though it called mana it has another name. It called "Divinity" even though it just mana in it purest, densest,strongest form. With a few other properties like matter and energy with some time it creates water like substance that can turn into a solid and over more time turn into the "Catalyst".

At first the universe and mana were completely separate but every once in a while they have interaction and over time mana and and the universe combine creating the system.

The system is just a way so the universe and mana can stay connected and monitored their connection creating a "status" as mana and the universe aren't living beings but at the same time are. The status was made for monitoring and a way to tell if their is a problem.

But over time from across the universe is started to connect places causing dungeon or gates and over time it connects all these places together creating a new planet with lots of intelligence races, roaming monsters, and tons of resources. Their were still gate or dungeon connected to their old world but those world had been over run by monsters.

Mana had always existed even before the awakening. Even if they thought of they were just tales. On the human planet it was shown in mythology and religion of gods and beast. This was true to a certain point. These "Gods" were just human that awaken mana and used there magic to be worshipped. They weren't even strong.

In the Novel it said that even in ancient time when mana wasn't known to the people, they still understood that they weren't stronger than the awaken or "gods". The awakener of the time weren't even of D rank but were considered "gods". The strongest were actually the well known myths like Zeus and his brothers or Odin and his children. They ranked around A rank with the Strongest ones being low S rank.

They might be nothing compared to us today but at the time the only way the could have gotten stronger was practicing their mana and fighting monsters. We have a planet full of gates, resources, and monsters but they had low level monsters. So comparing wouldn't really be fair.

Anyways to get a catalyst is really simple. Just find it. That simple. You can't create it. It infinite so you don't have to worry about it disappearing and as long as you reached the Peak of SS rank and have the potential to reach SSS rank you can use it.

Now is there a rank beyond SSS rank? Yes and no. The system, universe, and mana it self is beyond SSS rank, so to become beyond SSS rank you have to be on par with them which is impossible since our powers are it self created by the system, universe, and mana. So if you can break free from these restrictions, you lose your powers. Then if your still alive and have your abilities then I guess you would be considered beyond SSS but that really wouldn't be true since you're not going to get any stronger by breaking these restrictions, if anything you most likely lost most of your powers.

So going beyond SSS isn't really worth it as there no real purpose and since mana, the system, and the universe are just infinite concepts with no real purpose except to exist, there's no harm of using in using them.

Anyways I was just waiting for the catalyst to appear since In the novel it going to appear as a tower. Yes, a tower with floor and the higher you go the tougher it get. The tower has 50 floors and once you reach the top you get a reward. The reward is a item it could be a sword to a potion that would be the rank of B to A rank. But the most important thing is what on the 50 floor. It called the fountain of youth and that what the catalyst is. To normal awakeners that don't have a SSS rank potential it just restores mana but to the SS ranker at there peak with SSS rank potential it help them breakthrough.

The tower it self is almost impossible for anyone under S rank to finish but it makes a great training ground for newbies and a way to get stronger.

So it just a matter of time before SSS rank people start appearing but even then there still are limits on becoming SSS rank like out of the 73 SS rankers only 20 of them have the potential including myself.

This doesn't include the main cast as some will only become SSS rank like the Luke, Thomas, Grace, and Lisa after the first ones of SSS ranker appear. While the others will stay at peak SS rank because of their potential, which is still amazing.

Anyways that for the future, right now is what is most important, I'm hungry what should I have? Then Bruce accidentally said his inner thoughts out loud.

Bruce: Hmm, Fried Chicken

The room just look at him looked at him silently. Then Steve started to talk.

Steve: We're you even listening?!

Bruce: Hmm? What were you saying?

The room just sighed since they knew what Bruce was like, so they decided to just leave him be. And continue with the annual meeting.
