Chapter 16: what is this

A while later we pull up to the mall parking lot.

I get out of his fancy car and I am about to start walking away, when he grabs my hand.

I turn and look at him and he just shamelessly says, "Keep going."

Ignoring him I keep walking toward the first shop with cute little dresses that I like and pretend I am not dragging the icicle around.

Once inside the store I start picking up some cute spring dresses and some shorts.

I make use of the devil who insisted on coming and make him hold my stuff.

I am not sure why he is just complying to my whims and smiling like an idiot, but I wont dwell. I guess he can be useful after all.

After grabbing quite a few items I look and see how many I have in total and just shake me head.

I decide to just buy them and try them on at home later, maybe melody can come over and help me decide what to keep.

Yes, I am one of those lazy people who would rather just have to come back and return things okay.

I have Colton set the items down and ignore the cashier who is giving flirty glances to him as she rings me up.

When she is all done, I wave my pretty gold card in her face to get her attention so she will check me out.

She coughs and grabs my card then hands me it back with the reciept.

As we leave and walk to the next store, I ask Colton seriously, "Do you have to attract every cat to you, what are you, catnip?"

"If it attracts you to me, I don't mind being catnip." He says with a smirk making me blush as I look forward and drag him to a more expensive store that carrys high end brands.

I just can't tell if he is interested despite our age difference or just playing with me because he thinks I'm easy and naive.

Once inside the store, my eyes are immediately drawn to a cute white and tan LV bag similar to the one I lost, but with a cute lock and key.

I grab it hastily at the same time some obnoxious sounding pampered princess failed to reach for it.

She immediately gets loud, "That was mine, you stole it."

"Did you buy it already?" I say raising a brow.

"It doesn't matter, I was going to, but you took it, you probably can't even afford it, so just give it to me already, no point looking at what you can't have." she says with an ugly smirk.

These bitches, seriously.

I may look like I am dressed casual, but I promise my clothes are 100x more expensive than what she is wearing.

Not trying to brag.

I dislike loud clothing, I prefer quality and lowkey. I would rather not walk around looking like I'm begging someone to rob me.

I ignore her because I don't want to waste anymore unnecessary energy on insignificant people like I've been having to do recently because these people won't stop finding trouble with me.

"Come on, let's go pay for this." I say and walk to the register.

"Wait, I told you that was mine.." She says and trails off.

Looking at where she is staring, of course it's this devil who won't release my hand.

Ignoring my existence like all these girls do when they see him, she goes up to him and touches his arm flirtatiously, making me want to puke at the look she is giving him, but it also kind of pisses me off for some reason and I pull Colton closer to me.

He willingly moves towards me and stares disdainfully at the girl and slaps her hand away, "You are not qualified to touch me, you will my little goddess sick." He says making me mouth open in shock.

'What did he just call me?? Did he refer to me as his?? I am not an object!' I think with my cheeks puffed up.

The pampered princess must have been shocked too as she just stands there baffled and glaring at me.

I am so lost in thought by his words, I did not even realize he had lead us to the counter paid for the bag and bought me the matching wallet and then lead us out of the store.

He interrupts my shock saying, "You know you tend to always attract nonsense arguments."

I slap his arm, "It is not my fault, I had the bag first and she started it." I say in my defense with a pout.

He pats my head gently, "Okay Okay, it was her not you." he says smirking, "How about we go get some food?" He asks with that sinful smile that makes my heart beat erratically, but food overpowers my attraction.

"Yes!!!" I say excitedly.
