Having stopped his thoughts, Hiko focused on Satoshi, who looked more collected. Seeing this, the man felt a little relieved and clearing his throat, said.
- Ahem, Satoshi, how are you feeling?
Attracted by the sound, the boy looked at Hiko and answered with a weak smile.
- Thank you, it's better, but still, I'll have a lot to think about.
- I understand, it's hard… I will have a request for you, can you please see if Samato is all right?
Surprise slipped across the child's face, and he asked uncomprehendingly.
- Can't you do it yourself?
Smiling a complicated smile, Hiko said stiffly.
- Unfortunately, the cursed seal that Samato puts on is the secret of the main branch.
"It's not that I couldn't and didn't want to look, it's just that it's risky to get involved in the affairs of the elders before I decide on the chosen side."
Understanding slipped into Satoshi's eyes and nodding, he immediately activated the byakugan, but after a minute he deactivated it with a surprised and frightened expression on his face. This immediately attracted the man's attention and frowning, ready to move at any moment, he asked a question.
- What is it?
- Uh, well, as soon as I saw Samato, he somehow noticed it and also activated the byakugan.
Hearing this, sweat broke out on Hiko's forehead. But restraining his face, he smiled weakly, nodded understandingly and rose, bowed into the void. At the same time, to himself, the man cursed.
"Damn, there's definitely something wrong here, who would teach a child this secret technique at all, when this time can be spent on more productive training. Fortunately, I didn't see anything, otherwise if the boy had noticed it and told others, I would have had a hard time. Although I could have immediately gone over to Ame-san's side, but still..."

The sun in the sky has long passed half and is beginning to strive for the horizon. Sitting with his eyes closed on the ground and holding the corpse's head, Samato restored the chakra.
The rustle of leaves could be heard around, driven by a faint breeze that blew over the scientist's face, causing his black hair to flutter a little. After sitting for a few more minutes, he exhaled, opened his white eyes and looked at the head of the corpse, whose forehead was full of many small, connected symbols.
- Well, let's proceed to the last part of the seal. I will hope that it will sufficiently hide the absence of byakugan.
The veins around his eyes bulged, demonstrating the activation of the dojutsu and putting an outstretched finger to the center of his forehead, Samato closed his eyes, concentrating. Having folded several seals with his free hand, he slowly manipulated the chakra, began to direct it through the chakra-channels to the seal.
As soon as a small part of the chakra reached the ink on the forehead of the corpse, a metamorphosis took place and, like a lot of living beetles and worms, the symbols began to transform.
It took only a few seconds for a swastika to form on the forehead, instead of a multitude of symbols, which was accompanied by stripes horizontally, from the sides.
But the process did not stop there, frowning and concentrating even more, Samato sent a small amount of strange, slightly unlike the rest of the chakra from his eyes, through channels.
Although this chakra was similar to the chakra of Samato himself, it was distinguished by a colder and more domineering feeling, at the same time being malleable to the user himself.
As soon as it reached the forehead, the seal on the corpse glowed green and opening the byakugan, Samato muttered to himself.
"The Technique Of The Cursed Seal Of The Main Hyuga Family"
Immediately from the seal, to the eyes of the corpse, the flow of chakra spread, which, having reached the channels to the eyes, stopped, unable to get to them. But then, to the place of the breakage of the channels, an external push of the chakra arrived, from which the threads of the chakra began to form, which somehow connected the chakra channels of the eyes and the corpse.
As soon as this happened and the seal connected with the corpse's eyes, it abruptly began to absorb from them the little byakugan chakra that was in them.
Seeing this, Samato frowned even more and clenched his teeth, directed another stream of his byakugan chakra. When his byakugan chakra reached the seal, it was immediately absorbed. This action only slightly suspended the absorption of the byakugan chakra from the corpse's eyes.
Realizing that the byakugan chakra was missing, Samato sighed and began to slowly send the chakra out of his eyes again. This went on for some time and when the scientists were already thinking of getting byakugan Kuzu out of the flask, the absorption stopped.
The green-lit seal instantly spread to the eyes, covering them with a horizontal stripe. Tired Samato, whose eyes hurt incredibly, blurrily saw how the pupils and iris of Kuzu's eyes lost color, becoming pure white. After discoloration, the seal symbols began to spread over them, which formed into crossed strips of text.
Breathing a sigh of relief and deactivating the byakugan, Samato slowly folded the seals into a mystical palm. Bringing his hands, slightly trembling and covered with healing chakra, to his eyes, he tried to relieve the pain and normalize the condition.
"Ugh, now I have roughly understood the principle of operation of this damned seal. Eh, if I had had the opportunity to try it out earlier, then maybe I could have avoided the current situation."
Moving his hands a little away from his face, Samato, feeling pain and twitching his eyelids, slowly opened his eyes. All he saw was a blurred veil of greenery, in which the outlines of nearby trees and bushes were visible.
Sighing again, Samato got up from the ground, not paying attention to the immediately fallen head of the already dead clansman. Squinting and looking around, he tried not to pay attention to the pain.
"Due to the loss of a sufficiently large amount of byakugan-chakra, my vision now wants the best. And the pain from the overload of the channels near the eyes makes itself felt... I think it will take a couple of ches, and maybe more, to restore the byakugan chakra in sufficient quantity so that I can at least clarify the clarity of vision a little."
Having stopped examining the monotonous green veil, Samato looked at the ground, trying to find something white. Soon, he caught sight of a patch of whiteness in an abundance of greenery.
Having roughly understood where the cloth left by Hiko was, Samato approached the corpse and grabbed it by the hand, wearily dragged it along the ground, to the whiteness visible nearby. Shuffling his feet, the scientist felt unprecedented fatigue. His chakra count, even despite the breaks, was almost at the bottom.
The mere implantation of the eyes to a dead body that had lost a significant part of its physical energy was incredibly expensive. This is not to mention connecting sufficiently thick chakra channels.
Samato had minimal experience in reconstructing damaged chakra channels. It was impossible to blame him here, after all, he had a little time to somehow master such a high-level type of treatment.
And not every medical doctor could heal the channels. In the Hyuga clan, only the elder in charge of medicine is capable of significant treatment of chakra channels. Samato, training under the supervision of his father, was able to show minor success, but even this success made the sickly man jump for joy.
Dragging the body to the white cloth, the scientist gathered strength and threw the body into the center of the whiteness visible to him. After sighing several times and rubbing his eyes again, he bent down and took hold of the edge of the cloth.
Standing up and pulling the cloth, Samato began to wrap the corpse in the center. A few rather unpleasant minutes of labor, almost blindly, led to a corpse wrapped in a cocoon.
As soon as Samato was sure that the fabric was sufficiently fixed, he sat down on the soft forest floor and closed his eyes, focused on restoring the chakra.
