Chapter 79: Flame of Bo
Cao Guang stared at the Advanced Warrior rank Growling Earth Ape, before blasting a Star Pattern he prepared at it.
Red stars of the Fire element gathered around quickly as he simply threw out a punch instead of smashing his palm on to the ground.
Meteorite Fist
A second tier Intermediate spell that was strengthened 4.5 times flew at the Ape as it opened it's mouth to shriek. Cao Guang felt as if his ears were going to rupture as he finished his spell. He could no longer borrow the power of his stars to improve his spell as the Fist made its way towards the six metre tall Ape.
The Ape couldn't react fast enough to dodge and was pushed back. A spell of this level wasn't enough to damage an Advancing Warrior in a single hit. The Meteorite Fist blasted it towards the ground and burned it's fur off it.
Cao Guang was sure after that hit that even if he emptied his Fire Nebula he may not have killed this beast. He brought flames near his body in order to emulate the way the Little Flame Belle condensed her flames before preparing her killer move.
Calamity Fire could be refined when it's owner was in danger. It was a move taught by the Flame Belle's mother. An adult Flame Belle would know how to do it on instinct, but it wasn't the same for Little Flame Belle.
Cao Guang threw out a burst of Fire towards the Ape who had just crawled back up to its feet.
Burning Feathers
Dozens of feathers flew out like needles, however the Ape was on the guard and activated it's Earth magic. A slab of Earth raised itself from the ground and blocked the feathers aimed at it.
Cao Guang flicked his fingers for good luck as he made the Burning Feathers explode on contact with the Earth magic. The Ape had misjudged the human again!
He could not kill it with just Second tier spell but he could more than just hurt it. The explosion of the Burning Feathers pushed the pieces of rock and gravel in to its body like bullets. A few bones were broken and trickles of blood flew out of it's wounds as it stopped the Sonic attack due to pain.
Cao Guang wasted no time and seperated from the Flame Belle for a brief while and prepared his most penetrative spell.
Thunderbolt Yaksha
Five Bolts of Lightning Order struck the Ape at the same time it made another block of Earth to defend against the Little Flame Belle's Ground Break. The Lightning spread through its body for a short while before dissipating.
Because of its Earth attribute the Ape had better Lightning resistance than Cao Guang had imagined. Just the 3 x multiplier of Lightning Order was not enough to hurt it significantly, but it did paralyse it for a while letting the Ground Break make contact with the beast.
Cao Guang thanked stars as he took his equipment back from Yan Liling before the fights as a Silver flicker appeared in his eyes. A magnificent Star Pattern appeared beneath his feet as he pushed a silver rhomboid towards the Ape.
Space Rhythm Delay
The Ape dodged the Space Rhythm and was hit again by the Flame Belle's Exploding Heaven as she repossessed Cao Guang.
This isn't enough I lack the punch, if I had achieved third tier of Fire Nebula, then my spells strength would have reached near the boundary of Advanced spells, at the right moment I could kill this thing. It's going to take far more than this my Fire Bursts are going opening the wounds slightly.
Cao Guang examined his Fire Nebula in his Inner world again. It was bright and sublimated but not agitated or ready to break through to the third tier. It had only been a couple of months since the last break through.
Since the Little Tora pendant improved after his thievery attempts in Ancient Capital his cultivation speed has been increasing after being nearly at snail's pace for a year.
Yet it still wasn't enough to break through, he regretted not using the three step tower after he had gained some time with it after his deal with Dean Xiao, but only slightly.
Cao Guang looked around at his team and decided to wait the fight out, let his team eliminate the beasts and then kill this one with their help.
