Caught In The Act

Soon, someone brought up the surveillance footage as instructed by Mrs. Jade.

After watching it, Mrs. Rocelyn immediately shielded Jessica and looked sharply at Eclipse.

"Mrs. Jade, did you see that? Jessica was just trying to help, but she not only attacked her with words but also physically assaulted her. Do you really want to let such a woman into the Jade Family?"

Mrs. Jade's face was cold, and she raised her voice. "Mrs. Rocelyn, you are just Eclipse's stepmother. You have no right to interfere in her affairs, let alone those of the Jade Family."

Mrs. Rocelyn's face turned ugly, her eyes showing shock and confusion. She was about to continue her accusations, but Jessica held her hand.

Jessica sniffed, trying to sound strong and resilient, but she looked pitiful.

She shook her head at Mrs. Rocelyn. "Mom, it's okay. Eclipse hitting me was my fault. I've felt guilty all along..."

Mrs. Rocelyn spoke sternly, "Jessica, you're just too kind. That little brat Eclipse has been bullying you all along!"

Eclipse watched the mother and daughter drama unfold, a cold smile curling her lips.

Mrs. Jade feared that Mrs. Rocelyn would completely anger Eclipse.

She turned around and shouted, "Mrs. Rocelyn, watch your words! Everyone in this world has the right to criticize Eclipse except for you! It's a fact that you and your daughter have taken advantage of Eclipse's mother's death. You didn't compensate her, and now you're even speaking ill of her. Do you really think that no one is standing up for Eclipse?!"

Mrs. Rocelyn's eyes flashed with anger, and she trembled with rage.

Jessica secretly pinched her mother's arm, tears swirling in her eyes.

She sniffled and looked at Eclipse, pleading. "Mrs. Jade, I know it's our fault that we owe Eclipse. We were wrong. Eclipse, I'm sorry. My mother was just upset because she saw me covered in wounds. Please forgive us..."

Robert watched Jessica's pitiful appearance, feeling both angry and heartbroken. He wanted to go up and hold her in his arms to protect her.

But just as Mrs. Jade's warning echoed in his ears, he could only endure silently, his resentment towards Eclipse growing deeper and deeper.

Eclipse looked at Jessica's tearful face and smiled slightly, finally deigning to speak.

"Jessica, you're really ugly."

Jessica's body stiffened for a moment, her pale face turning slightly blue.

Compared to Eclipse's elegant and radiant appearance, Jessica's current dirty and disheveled state could indeed be called ugly.

Eclipse's arrogant and domineering presence finally angered Jessica's friends.

"Eclipse, you've gone too far! Mrs. Rocelyn scolded you, but Jessica has already apologized. What more do you want?"

"I'm so angry. You clearly hit Jessica and caused her to fall and get hurt, but now you've made her apologize to you. Who do you think you are?!"

Robert breathed a sigh of relief when someone finally stood up to defend Jessica.

Jessica heard the voices of those criticizing Eclipse and felt relieved that things were finally going in the direction she had hoped for.

As she lowered her head, feeling pleased with herself, she suddenly heard a cold voice in her ear.

"First Miss Rocelyn, can you explain what you whispered to Miss Eclipse and why you tried to choke her neck?"
