Koneko 'Shirone' Toujou Pov

everything hurt, what in Satan happened to me. Memories of my previous day came flooding back to me, watching the fallen from a distance, being trapped, fighting for my life, and those... glowing red eyes.

attempting to get up was a mistake, my head ached as if I just spent an entire day within a church being hit with a bat.

"I don't suggest attempting that again" a simple sentence that sent fear into my very core as it was growled out, not good, not good at all. My heart rate spiked as I tried to open my eyes to see who or what was near me, the blinding light of the sun making it agonizingly difficult to accomplish.

What greeted me when I forced my eyes open was blood stained bandages, that seemed to be made of sunbleached curtains, mummifying half of my body, and the giant stained glass cross that allowed just too much light in . A cold sweat covered my body as a pained realization filled me 'I did spent all day in a church, no wonder my head hurts so much'.

It took a moment but I mustered up the courage to look at either my savior or torturer. fear spiked in me, letting out a whimper as I saw those piercing red eyes again. I forced my body backwards across the wood floor, pain from my injuries made it difficult but filled with the adrenaline and will to live I pushed away from the furred big teeted monster.

"now, now. none of that, I just spent so long making sure you were already and the last thing I need is for you to injure yourself again. you've already used up all my curtains" The voice and what it said made me freeze in both fear and confusion.

"yo..you saved me?... why?" I cursed in my head, why of all moments does my monotone voice seem to fail. showing any more fear my mean my death if I annoy this beast.

"why not? A young girl being attacked by people that looked twice your age. although I'm not entirely sure since I've never met anyone with wings. just what were they?"

Taking a deep breath before I responded, hoping to keep the fear out.

"Fallen a..angels" better but not perfect

"fallen..hmm, i don't suppose you are actually a devil are you? if so I must look might foolish and threatening for keeping you in church"

I pointed at myself, not trusting my voice with a full sentence I simply replied "Devil"

A frown filled the creatures terrifying face as he seemed to contemplate something.

"seems like I owe you an apology then, although I have no other residence I'm sure being here isn't pleasant, shall we move outside miss.." he said as he slowly reached out his hand

The oddly pleasant words clashing with his, Visage and the sound of his voice was the only thing that prevented me from cowering from his massive furred hands.

"Koneko, and please" surprised realization filled his face, causing me to feel suspicion.

"Koneko... Koneko... you wouldn't happen to know someone named Rias, would you?"

pulling my hand away from him I glared.

"so what, what's it mean to you"

"no need for the hostility, I've simply... heard of you is all. A Satan's sister is fairly well known after all. So where is the red haired lady, why wasn't she with you?"

I was about to respond when an explosion of void energy tore through the wall, revealing my mentioned master. This is not going to end well.

Rias Pov

Koneko never returned after her mission, never sent a message, never checked in at all. Fear filled my heart as I sent the rest of my peerage out to search, as I went to the last known area she was in. something can't have happened to her... it just couldn't have.

"nothing Rias, the only signs of battle were in this clearing and whatever killed these two fallen was not koneko" pain and uncertainty filled my queens voice

"wait I got something over here, looks like the paw prints of a sizable wolf. If it was magical It could have done this to the fallen"

Dread and hope raged war in my heart as we followed the prominent paw prints, the fact that Koneko wasn't here might be a good sign, give hope that she's OK and that whatever did this to the fallen might not have done it to her too.

As we cleared the trees a rundown church filled our view, and I could sense Koneko inside with ... something else.

"she's still alive, we must hurry" I rushed forward, all thoughts of a plan thrown out the window as I destroyed the wall with my power of destruction. There I saw Koneko, injured and cowering on the ground with wide eyes as a massive wolf beast reached to end her. I won't allow this to happen.

"you will not harm my cute servant you vile monster. In the name of the Gremory household I will have your head!"

Warwick Pov

"well, fuck...." I said while looking at what the situation must've looked like. "now wait a moment, this is just a misunde.."

diving out of the way of a bolt of black energy, I picked up koneko and moved with her. 'can't risk her getting vaporized while she is crippled.

"HAVE YOU NO SHAME, to use my own servant as a shield. Kiba remove his arms to free Koneko, be careful not to harm her"

"uhh... are you sure Rias maybe we shou..." anything other things Kiba was going to day was stopped by an angry glare from Rias.

"of course I'm sure, that... that beast had abducted and injured Koneko and was about to kill her when I came in... who knows what else he has done to her..."

"wha.. done to me" Koneko sputtered as pink flushed her cheeks, she looked me in the eyes flinching back when I turned my head to look at her. "pervert, hmph"

"come on Koneko I did no such thing, your even still wearing the same clothes I took you here in"

A victorious look appeared on Ria's face, as of she just won the lottery... or in her case likely a supply of anime or manga. "so you admit that you abducted our poor dear Koneko, I knew it"

" Ara Ara, for such monster to steal you and have his way with you Koneko... looks like I will find out what burnt fur smells like today"

the smell of ozone filled the room as lighting danced on her fingers, whilst this was happening Kiba summoned a sword and had a dark look on his face.

staring dumbfounded at the turn of events I growled back " now hold on just a minute, while I look and might even be a monster I would never do such a thing to a lady"

seeing that they weren't looking convinced I lowered Koneko on a bench and got ready for a fight. Rias charged a ball of destruction as Akeno weaved lighting and Kiba brandished his sword. 'This is gonna suck'.

Just as the fight was about to commence, Koneko limped infront of me and glared at Rias.

"no, no hurt"

"Koneko, step out of the way so we can help you. there's no reason to protect such a monster who hurt you" Rias said with authority and a mild dose of confusion.

Koneko stood in defiance of this order, it felt pretty odd being protected by something so small.

"no, he saved me. You can't hurt him. even if he might be a pervert" she said, a small shadow of a smirk appearing on her face as she said the last bit.

"hey, don't go spreading lies about me. I'm a gentlemen"

"I don't understand, I saw him about to hurt you..."

As Koneko took the time to fill Rias in, I sat down and let out a sigh that was borderline. growl. Today was a long day.
