Armed with the Heart of a God and knowledge from the novel he had once read, he would make sure to survive, and trample over anyone who sought to take what was his. *** I dont own the cover art, just smt I found on Pinterest I think. Let me know if you're the owner and want it down. This is my second novel, so you can expect an above average quality of writing. There will be romance but it'll be gradual, and he won't be dense or anything since that would be annoying. The MC might be a tad bit insane at times, and he won't be OP immediately. But he won't be losing too often. Anyways, enjoy! And check out my other novel, The Child Soldier's Reincarnation if you like my style of writing. Upload schedule: As of now, daily but I'll take a one day break whenever I need it.

Chapter 69 - Practical Test - [3]

As I surveyed my surroundings once more, taking note of the number of enemies; I felt a presence. The presence of someone strong.

Stronger than these lot anyways.

"Nice.. this is nice."

I said, smiling. I don't know when it happened, or how it happened. But, I've started enjoying fighting, training and being an Awakened.

A figure approached, initially being hidden by the foliage, but eventually coming into my sight. I could immediately tell that they were on a different level to the other ones I had fought. It was someone like myself, someone who had been in real combat. And so, without wasting a moment, I ran towards them and reeled my fist back before hurling it at them.

A small shockwave was formed, and a dust cloud was produced, obscuring my vision.

"Oh? You're good."

When the dust cleared, I saw an armoured woman, blocking my blow. She had long, blonde hair along with a set of blood red eyes, her face bore a large scar across her eye.

As my fist connected with her arms, she grit her teeth in pain.

Though she was in pain, she didn't seem to have take any significant damage. As I began to prepare my next blow, I felt her hands wrap tightly around my arm, attempting to hold me in place.

"Go. Now."

She said, clearly telling someone to initiate the next stage of some sort of attack.

Then, another woman, who was nearly identical to the woman holding me in place appeared, except she had shorter, blonde hair and was without a single scar. Her fist hit the left side of my chest, and for a moment, I couldn't breathe.

'My.. heart? How did she target my heart?'

I gasped for air, and tried to take a step back, but I was being locked in place by the first woman who's grip strength was shocking. And so, a flurry of attacks was sent towards me, each of them bearing enough power to pose a threat even to me.

I blocked every blow with my free arm, each of her blows seem to drill my past my skin and hit my bones, slowly causing them ache in pain, before small cracks began to form.

'These two, they're good. But something's weird, I could've sworn there was only one person. Even now, though I see two people, I feel as if I'm fighting only one.'

I reeled my other arm back in an attempt to retaliate, but an arrow was fired almost immediately, pinning my arm to my torso. As I prepared to use Partial Enhancement to detach my arm, a chain was wrapped around my body before being enhanced using Weapon Enhancement, resulting in me being unable to move.

"You guys really planned all this out just for me? You shouldn't have, you'll make me blush."

I said, being unable to stop teasing these lot. It was obvious that mere Mana Enhanced chains couldn't stop me, especially when it was being Enhanced by folk who needed a small battalion of Awakened to fight me on equal terms.

"Fine then. If you did this much, I'll fight you sincerely, not because you're strong. But because you've earned this."

"Oh fu-"

The woman with long blonde hair, who was holding one of the ends of the chain wrapped around me, had realised what was going to happen first. The short haired one charged towards me, as did a flurry of arrows. But they all reacted far too slowly, they should've attacked me the instant they had restrained me.

Now, they would reap what they sowed.

"Mana Art.."

I said, whispering, partly due to embarrassment.

"Asura State."

And so, beneath my arms, another set of arms began to form. First, the joint was constructed in my torso, then the bone, muscle and ligaments allowing for control of the arm was formed.

All of this happened in a split second, leaving them almost no room to react.

As soon as my new arms had grown, I shattered the chains binding me.

"You're going down first."

Then, I charged at short haired blonde, who's attack power was on an entirely different level to the rest, as my fist approached her she was moved out of the way by the long haired one who withstood my blow once more.

"Fine, if you want to endure, then let's see how much you endure"

Then, two of my arms held onto her wrists as the other two repeatedly slammed into her sides, pounding her armour, however despite the blows I poured into her, she endured.

As I kept unleashing a flurry of blows, the other woman's fist buried itself in my liver, causing

"You two are fantastic."

Then, I threw one of the girls into the other.

"You two are twins or something, right?"

As I spoke, I once again aimed my attacks at the one with short hair, trying to take care of her first. Without her, any damage they could deal wouldn't affect my combat ability, whereas blows to internal organs were slightly harder to deal with due to my inexperience.

A single one of her attacks could stop my heart, after all.

Everytime I tried attacking her, the other sister would prevent me for hitting her.

But strangely, the long haired one never decided to deliver a counterattack.

'This one's endurance and defense is just crazy, the other one's attack power is just as insane. And, their presence just feels wrong. It feels as though I'm facing one person, yet I know I'm facing two people..'

Beads of sweat dripped from my brow as I withstood a blow to the stomach from the short haired sister, using Blood Armour to decrease the impact of her blow.

The armour shattered from her blow, yet some of force behind the attack was still transferred right to my organs, causing blood to seep from the corners of my mouth.

'The hell is up with this girl? Her attacks seem to just ignore or even nullify my outer defenses to some degree, I'm not good at defending my internal organs with Magic just yet. This isn't a good match up for me...'

As I thought that, I began to regenerate until I felt something. A throbbing sensation in my head. And, I could instinctively tell what was happening.

An adaptation was coming.
