CHAPTER 13: THE CRUEL WORLD

Back to the battle between Zig and Hibi, after throwing Hibi outside the arena. He then launches a power strike that hits Hibi's face. Hibi then holds Zig's hand and attempts to break it. Zig immediately escapes from the powerful grip of his opponent. Hibi is enraged and emits a very powerful aura that shakes the ground. She then transforms into her dragon form. Transforming into a giant black dragon covered by a dark ominous aura and drooling acid saliva, she becomes the dragon of chaos and destruction, 'Nidhogg'. She flies and breathes dark flames, 'Chaos Roar,' towards Zig, but he immediately dodges it. The attack causes huge destruction at the academy. Zig then casts his divine skill, 'Folkvangr.' He traps Hibi in a realm full of graveyards for a fight-to-the-death battle where the loser will be buried in the realm. Hibi accepts the challenge and transforms into her hybrid form, a dragon-armored girl holding a dark dragon sword covered with an ominous aura. She already knows her enemy is Toshi because they have already fought in a mock battle before. "She asks why Toshi is opposing her. Toshi then replies that he had no other choice but to fight her and emerge victorious. Hibi then laughs and states that he's a delusional traitor. Hibi attacks with her sword and attempts to slice Toshi's body. Toshi cautiously evades all of Hibi's attacks. Suddenly, Toshi unleashes a vast amount of Reiki covering his entire body. He then removes his limits and begins to emit a blue aura that resembles a lion. He attacks Hibi with his martial arts style of combat. Both of them exchange blows as shockwaves are created afterward. Hibi then casts his godskill 'World Eater,' and her blade devours everything in its path, including the graves and even the whole realm. Toshi feels helpless as he realizes that he's currently facing a very strong opponent with the power to destroy the entire world. Toshi emits a crimson aura and holds his ground, hoping that he's going to survive Hibi's devastating attack." Hibi devours the entire realm "Folkvngr". Then, Toshi is in disbelief as he states that his Folkvngr is a realm that intends to follow the "battle to the death rules," allowing only the winner to escape. But Hibi is just a destructive force that destroys even the rules of the divine realm and the realm itself; he couldn't fathom how strong Hibi is.

After Seiki escapes the arena, he immediately heads towards Hibi and Toshi. He summons the legendary spirit Livie and the legendary beast Byakko, commanding them to help Toshi in his battle against Hibi. Byakko jumps and casts two powerful tornadoes towards Hibi. Hibi is shocked that Seiki, their leader, is also betraying her. Hibi then asks Toshi what she did to provoke them into killing her. Hibi states that she actually treats them as her real friends even a family, but Toshi replies that they're not friends, just a bunch of cold-hearted murderers. Hibi then states that she actually made Toshi a birthday gift, as she remembers that tomorrow is Toshi's birthday. Toshi cannot believe it, as she assumes that Hibi is just a wild monster who loves to destroy anything she wishes. But then he is caught off guard by her true identity. Hibi then cries and asks Toshi if he truly believes she's going to kill him. She explains that she devours the realm in order to teach Toshi a lesson not to mess with her. Seiki then encourages Toshi to attack Hibi, but Toshi is hesitating. Hibi then asks Seiki what his real plan is, but Toshi replies that he just wants to protect his nephew, who is Hibi's target, the young hero Keil. Seiki then says he has a bigger purpose and they will not be able to understand him. Seiki commands Livie to cast her forbidden spell "spirit breaker." Although Hibi has an indestructible body, her soul is still too fragile. Livie then hits Hibi with "Spirit Breaker". Hibi is in excruciating pain, shouting and begging for Seiki to stop. Every time she starts to stand, she is held down by intense pain. Toshi tells Seiki to stop, suggesting they find a way to resolve this problem without killing each other. Seiki ignores Toshi's plea, prompting Toshi to attack the legendary spirit Livie. Byakko intervenes and uses its destructive technique, the "Ethereal Howl". Toshi manages to evade it and lands a punch with his "Death Blow," taking down the beast. Suddenly, a giant snake approaches Toshi, accompanied by the small creatures Seiki controls. Toshi dashes, grabbing Hibi, But Livie casts her divine skill "Fairy Prison."Livie summons a glowing prison that locks Toshi, Hibi, and the other summons of Seiki including Livie herself and the legendary beast Byakko. Seiki then speaks through Livie and utters the words "I've won" in a very cold tone. Seiki then starts to laugh as he activates his second god skill "Dai Hendō" and all of his summons explode. An explosion ten times stronger compared to the atomic bomb. Thanks to Livie's ultimate skill, Fairy Prison, the explosion is contained. However, the Fairy Prison, supposed to be unbreakable, starts to crack because of the explosion. A moment later, the cage explodes and the explosion almost reaches the arena. The aftermath of the explosion is pure devastation. If Seiki hadn't contained it, then the whole kingdom would surely be destroyed. 

After killing Abaddon, commander Tomoyoki felt a very powerful explosion just outside the arena. He then remembers that the area where the explosion happened was the area where Master Zig throws his opponents. He immediately secures the students first before going towards the explosion, making sure that all of them have escaped, as he didn't exactly know how powerful his opponents were going to be. Afterwards, he sprints towards the location of the explosion and witnesses the catastrophic aftermath of the explosion. He immediately search for Master Zig's location but fails to find him. He shouts his name "Zig" over and over, but nobody is answering. Not even his opponent is around; all that he can see is the big hole created by the explosion earlier. 

Thirty minutes earlier, after the explosion, Seiki finds Master Zig's whereabouts. He's holding Hibi's head because it's the only thing what's left of her. Toshi loses his torso and his right arm due to the explosion. Toshi asks Seiki with only a single word "why?" Seiki watches Toshi dying, and suddenly, it starts to rain. Seiki's makeup slowly fades as his real tears show up. He then utters the words while crying. It's a "cruel world", god skill activated. Darkness slowly surrounds them as the rain falls heavily.
