CHAPTER 12: THE OLD MAN'S STRENGTH

While the commander shields the other students during their evacuation, Seiki rushes to Professor Grim and chooses to give him a hug in the hopes that the professor will be lifted from the curse, but nothing seems to work. He immediately use his backup plan, he smacks the professor in his face. Suddenly, professor Grim breaks free from the demon's seductive power. Afterwards Seiki explains their current situation, the professor promptly assists with the evacuation. After securing them with his chains, he escorted the rest of the students and captains out of the arena. The commander stood his stand to protect his beloved students while they were fleeing. Abbadon teleported inside the arena, swiftly drawing his sword known as the "abyssal blade." Belial summoned a plant monster that ensnared the commander. Abbadon then unleashes a powerful attack on the commander, a "demonic strike," aiming to slice his neck. However, the commander manages to free himself from the monstrous plant's grasp and evade Abadon's impending strike. Belial emitted a powerful aura, leading to her transformation into her original form. Resembling a giant plant Kraken with a head akin to a monster octopus, her eight tentacles morph into a massive monster plant. As she attempts to devour the commander, he swiftly dodge the attack. Apparently, Abaddon made the decision to launch a lethal attack on the students. He used his curse spell "doom" on Efrim, but mistakenly hit Silvia instead, sealing her powers for a long period of time. The commander rushes to his students' position to shield them from harm. As soon as the commander diverts his attention, disaster happens. It was just a trap that Abaddon set; he knows that the commander will do everything to save his beloved students. Abaddon succeeds in cutting the commander's left arm. Efrim then casts his divine skill "Hand of God" towards the commander in order to heal and regenerate his left arm. But nothing happens. Abaddon didn't give the commander any breathing room, knowing it was their only chance to eliminate the biggest hindrance in their plan. Abaddon then dashes towards the commander's position, riding on his undead horse, and once more attacks with "demonic strike," but the commander deflects it with his sword. Belial then creates a dark ball of energy with her tentacles and launches it towards the commander, succeeding in hitting him. Commander Tomoyoki is in serious trouble. Just as he was about to be hit by Belial's attack, Efrim suddenly cast his divine skill, "Guardian Angel," surrounding the commander with an angelic aura that negates any demonic abilities and provides a substantial boost to defensive stats. Seiki then boldly slaps Captain Muji, breaking him free from the curse. Afterwards, Seiki instructs the captain to aid the commander quickly. Rushing to assist, Muji activates his two ultimate skills, "Godspeed" and "Rotten Slash," creating a powerful combination. With lightning speed, he dashes towards Belial's tentacles, consecutively striking them with his ultimate skill, "Rotten Slash."The tentacle slowly decays but regenerates quickly. Belial then decided to use one of her trump cards. She emits a very powerful ominous aura as she launches a devastating attack called "demonic burst."Creating a very large dark energy ball, she launches it towards her enemies' position. The commander cannot flee as his students will receive a direct hit. He then gives his apologies to his students because they couldn't bear what will happen next. Commander Tomoyoki emits an enormous aura and commands his captains to shield the students with their Reiki in order for them not to die from the commander's skill. Both of the captains understand and execute the command given to them. Seiki already knew what would happen next, so he immediately fled from the arena. Quickly hiding and putting on his crying clown makeup, he then headed towards Hibi and Zig. Seiki evaluats the situation and finally understand that the commander was getting serious, he simply hopes that the commander will eventually defeat his two formidable opponents. Belial's "demonic burst" slowly disintegrates as it moves towards the commander's position. Commander Tomoyoki then change the whole terrain, covering everything inside the arena with silver flames. Seeing this, Captain Efrim decided to cast the divine skill "Guardian Angel" to protect them from the fiery silver fire. Enrage, the commander's body glows with silver flames, causing both demon generals to feel the devastating heat and tremble. As the commander walked slowly, the ground broke beneath him, releasing silver flames from the depths. "He then commends Abaddon for successfully cutting his left hand and states that his curse which prevents healing spells from working on him really comes in handy." The commander explains that most flames can turn their desired victims to ashes, but his silver flames are different; everything that they touch disintegrates, not into ashes, but into nothingness. The reason why Abaddon did not perish in the previous assault on the Shiva kingdom because the commander was holding back his power while engaging in combat. His sudden release of his destructive power could cause total destruction of the Shiva kingdom. His power would also cause more deaths among his allies rather than his enemies. But now, knowing that there's no other way to protect the students and kingdom. He decides to unleash his power but notes that even now he's still holding out, for the full outburst of his power could disintegrate the entire kingdom. Commander Tomoyoki is trying to control his own powers while fighting back against the demon lord's generals. It is the only option for him to prevent unintentionally harming his dear students and minimize the destruction in the Shiva kingdom. Only a "high humans" can pull of this kind of skills and techniques. 

Efrim uses his divine skill, Guardian Angel, repeatedly to protect them from being consumed by the silver flame, though in doing so, his mana gradually decreases. Silvia and the others offers their mana towards his brother Efrim so that he could cast "Guardian Angel" multiple times. Abaddon transforms into his final form ( a dark armored knight with a skeleton mask who is riding a horse and holding his long broadsword called 'Abyssal Blade'). Belial is preparing to cast her final trump card, the 'Apocalyptic Summoning'. She is planning to summon high-level demons commonly referred to as the Arch Demons, but right before she can finish, Commander Tomoyoki vanishes. He appears in front of Belial near her face, then swings his sword towards Belial's direction, cutting her body in two pieces. Both of Belial's separated bodies are now burning with silver flames and slowly disintegrating into nothingness. Abaddon can't believe that Commander Tomoyoki is capable of defeating a demon general level only with one strike. His body trembles as he watches the commander slowly walking towards him in a menacing manner. He plans to fly towards the giant gate back to the demon realm; as he's about to fly, the commander teleports in front of the demon. He then asks the demon in a menacing tone, 'Why bother escaping your inevitable death, demon ?' Abaddon then states that he's a monster among monsters and his power is somewhat greater compared to the Demon King's. But he has a lot of weaknesses, as the demon points towards the students. Commander Tomoyoki then responds that "they're not his weaknesses, but instead they're the source of his strength. What is the value of your power if it serves no purpose at all? He strives to win in order to protect; that's the reason why the commander is unbeatable." Abaddon just laughs and begs to end him quickly. Then Commander Tomoyoki penetrates his sword into the heart of the demon general and casts his ultimate skill, 'Devour.' Suddenly, silver flames scatter around the body of Abaddon as if the flames are devouring his entire body, leaving not even a single trace.
