Serena glanced away, unfazed by the tension she caused. "Fine. Let's sleep then. We'll figure it out tomorrow."
The group moved cautiously through the heading back to the shelter they had found. The air was still, almost unnervingly quiet, and every footstep seemed to echo around them. They kept their weapons ready, just in case any zombies showed up, but so far, there was nothing.
"There are so few zombies out here," Jack muttered, glancing around. "It's so quiet tonight. I want to go back to my family."
Lila walked beside him, her voice soft. "Yeah, I miss my mom and dad, too. I hope they're safe, wherever they are."
Jack hesitated, then asked, "Do you think the spin wheel happened outside, too? You know, like in other places?"
