For some inexplicable reason, she comes back to live six months before the apocalypse descends on the world. She now has a chance to redo her life! She has already imagined her bright future just like the protagonist of some web novels: predicting the future event, saving humanity, gaining a lofty status among the survivors while having sweet revenge on all the people who’d once been looking down and making her suffer in her previous life. Ah, how sweet… how satisfying…. Until a cold, mechanical voice interrupted her fantasy. [Ding!] Congratulations on your successful rebirth! The will of the world gave you a present. Do you accept it?] Qin Yu: "Yes! Fucking yes! Baby, come to mommy!" [Open the present… Congratulation! You get the Red Packet System!] [Warning! The system can only work in Blessed Town.]  [Enjoy!] Qin Yu: "To hell with revenge! To hell with money! To hell with status! This mistress will stay here, having a leisure life, farming and fishing, and occasionally flirting with the big sister next door! Survival is the most important thing, after all! " System: "…." "Little Yu, we are having your favorite sweet braised pork made with the meat of an Elite Mutant Beast Golden Horned Boar for breakfast!" Ling Luo said, with her sweet voice. "And for dinner, you can also have your favorite dish..." Qin Yu stared intently at the feast in front of her eyes and couldn’t help but gulp. "My favorite dish...?" Ling Luo leans forward, a breath away from Qin Yu's ears, and whispers softly, in a sultry tone, "It's me~" ---- The cover was stolen from the internet, please don't blame me it was too tempting.

Qin Yu Bravely Take Step Forward

"I can do it!"

Qin Yu gave herself encouraging words as she slowly got out of bed. She looked at the door and flinched slightly. In her eyes, the distance between her bed and the door had multiplied by many folds compared to before.

She took a deep breath and regulated it, following the Clear Mind and Tranquil Heart Sutra, and soon regained her composure.

She wore her purple slippers unhurriedly and slowly but steadily approached the door.

On the way there, her eyes wandered across the room. Her room was painted in purple, with half covered in a floral pattern—or to be precise, a lavender pattern wallpaper. It was originally her mother's favorite flower, but in the end, she grew to like it too. Or maybe because it was a purple-colored flower. She wasn't certain whether she liked the color purple first, and thus she also took a liking to the lavender or vice versa. All she remembered was that both of them had already been her favorites since she was a child.

She didn't have much stuff in this room—mainly because her personal belongings were still left behind in her apartment in Yunlin City. There were only a few light novels and comic books, and also a few game consoles and games lying in her room.

Without even realizing it, she had already stood in front of the door. She only needed to put her hand on the knob, twist it, and push the door open, but she still hesitated.

"You can do it, Qin Yu. You can do it!"

Creak—

With a slight push, Qin Yu had already stepped outside her room.

"Fuuh… It's easier than I thought…"

A long corridor connected the four rooms on the second floor, with a single staircase in between. There were several paintings hanging on the wall, mainly showing the scenery of Blessed Town. There was Blessed Hill as the background, with several paddy and flower fields, giving the painting a nice and vibrant mood. The vintage, or rather ancient-style buildings made of stone and wood, were erected beside each other in an orderly fashion.

She had never appreciated the view of her hometown before since she always thought of it as outdated and backward. But now, she felt that it was beautiful.

Many of those skyscrapers and modern buildings will be destroyed when the apocalypse comes anyway. At least in this remote village, she could avoid destruction.

She sauntered past, passing through the corridor, and saw the family painting of five people hanging in the opposite direction of the stairs.

The painting was taken in front of the mansion. Two ladies—her mother and grandmother, sat on the chairs smiling, and the men of the family stood behind them. Her mother and grandmother had a similar appearance, almost like a twin's. Many people would mistake them for sisters if her grandmother dyed her hair black.

The old man who wore a funny farmer's hat with a big grin on his face was her eccentric grandfather, and the scrawny bespectacled middle-aged man on the other side was her father, his expression a little bit stiff. From how small she looked, the painting might have been taken when she was 3 or 4 years old.

No.

Now she remembered it. The picture was taken on her fourth-year birthday, exactly one year before her grandfather and grandmother passed away.

Qin Yu wasn't a sentimental person. Even before she turned into a zombie, she didn't feel that close emotionally to her family, more so in the present that her emotions were still numb.

When her grandparent died, she still didn't understand many things and didn't feel sad.

When she heard the news of her parents' plane crash, she already understood many things, but still didn't shed even a single tear.

When Ling Luo was dying in front of her eyes, she could only feel hungry, driven by her instinct as a zombie, and even if it wasn't the case, she believed that she wouldn't feel anything at all.

But looking at the picture, she inexplicably felt a little bit lonely. She couldn't put her finger on the reason either.

"Maybe I can visit them after breakfast. It will be my first time in God knows how long…"

She shrugged off the melancholy in her heart and stepped down the stairs to go to the first floor.

There are three bedrooms on this floor, one for Ling Luo and the other two for guests, one bathroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a dining room. She could already smell the sweet fragrance of fresh-baked bread when she came.

Her steps suddenly stopped.

'Can I really face her? What if my zombie instinct suddenly kicked in?' A flood of negative thoughts nearly overwhelmed her. 'Should I go back to the room and sneak into the kitchen later when Big Sis Luo goes out?'

When she struggled in her mind, Ling Luo came out of the kitchen wearing a pink apron with a ladle in her hand. It seemed like she was about to check her upstairs once more. Surprisingly, she saw Qin Yu standing in front of the stairs in a daze and quickly called her over.

"You're here, Little Yu. Quick come and take a sit."

Ling Luo's voice immediately brought Qin Yu back to her senses, and she couldn't help but trot after her, walking stiffly like a robot.

"Okay, big sis."

Her path of retreat had already been sealed off, anyway.

"It's okay, Qin Yu, you got this."

As she walked behind Ling Luo, she quickly assessed her condition and sighed in relief. 'It seems nothing like what I fear will happen when I get close to big sis Luo...' Then she increased her pace until she was right behind the girl.

A sweet fragrance lingered around Ling Luo, causing Qin Yu's nose to twitch. Unbeknownst to her, her face turned slightly red, 'The smell is so comforting. Is it from her shampoo? I kind of want to smell it closer.'

She shook her head, dispelling the strange thought in her head, 'No, no, Qin Yu, what are you doing? You're not a pervert!'

Soon they arrived at the dining room, and Ling Luo pulled a chair for Qin Yu to sit in.

Qin Yu nodded and quickly took a seat.

Ling Luo went to the kitchen and brought the dishes out, served them in front of Ling Luo, and put a set of utensils and additional spices on the table.

"Here is your French Toast, I add some cinnamon and a bit more sugar. You like it this way, don't you?"

"And this is the scrambled egg and the bacon. You can add salt or pepper to your liking."

It was indeed her favorite breakfast. Even though she was Chinese, she preferred western food for breakfast. It might be influenced by her family. She had a sweet tooth, and her appetite grew the sweeter her food was.

Qin Yu was taken aback by Ling Luo's attentiveness.

Or maybe it's always like this? She didn't remember. In the past, she might have taken her warm attitude for granted.

She didn't even know what food Ling Luo liked.

'I'm such a horrible human being…'

The thought made her ashamed and guilty.
