Chapter 35: He really did plan to proposed

After our dinner, we were both feeling stuffed so Qi Yan suggested that we take a quick walk on the beach. I took my heels off as I enjoyed the feeling of sand in between my toes. As we walked further and further from the restaurant the lights grew dim. There seemed to be a strange atmosphere surrounding us. Just then I saw in the distance the lights appeared to be on. As I grew closer I could see that it wasn't lights but candles formed in a heart. On the floor, there was also a purple rose. I looked at Qi Yan and he smirked. So does that mean all of this is done by him? "Do you like it?" Qi Yan asked. I nodded and laughed. I stopped laughing all of a sudden and I could only think of one possibility of why Qi Yan has done this. He was going to propose. Or could I have been mistaken? Which boy would set up this for a girl if he didn't intend to propose? "Nobody," a voice answered. I looked up startled was I saying all of those aloud?

He nodded and gestured for me to hold his hand. I grab his hand and he slowly led me over. Now we were standing in the middle of the hearts with the flowers in the middle of us. He knelt down to grab the flowers and I gasped. He stayed kneeling down on one foot after he grab the flowers. I mean, I thought he was going to propose, but I still haven't gotten m feeling sorted. Last lifetime I never had a chance to be proposed to. Now I finally know the feeling of being proposed to. It's a strange feeling. Like you are nervous and also excited at the same time. Then what would I say? Qi Yan glanced at me and explained "To be honest I don't really know how to propose to ladies. And you also know that I don't have any experience with dating. You were my first girlfriend and hopefully my last. So Miss Fu Hui Qing would you give me the delight of being your husband?". I looked at him and sighed " Qi Yan thank you. Thank you for being honest and kind to me this whole time we've been together. Thank you for asking me in private and not in front of everyone. But I'm not as nice as you think. I'm stubborn. I can get jealous easily. I don't like to listen to anyone. Would you marry this kind of lady?". He nodded and replied " I would because your Fu Hui Qing, the love of my life,". Tear fell out of my eyes without me realising it. "Miss Fu, would you like to be Mrs Qi?" Qi Yan asked again. A minute passed and I nodded. Qi Yan jumped up and placed the ring on my finger. After doing so he threw the flowers behind him and hugged me tightly. I yelped in surprise and laughed alongside him. Moments passed and he placed me back on the ground. I felt a bit dizzy and proceeded to clutch my head. Qi Yan was still cheering however when he turned back he saw my pale face and asked in concern whether or not I was ok. I nodded and replied, "I prefer the ground... a lot..".

After a while, Qi Yan walked me back to the car where there were street lights. I finally realised that the ring fitted my finger perfectly. It was a diamond ring shaped like a heart with our initials. I would forever remember this. But how in the world did he know my ring size? I questioned him in the car and he replied "Your friends told me..." So those that mean that Cheng Li, Fang Feng and Wei Wei already knew what was gonna happen today? Oh, they are so gonna get an earful from me when I get back to the dorm.
