Chapter 13: Qi Mei's friendship goals

5 days later - Friday:

After class, I open the door to my dorm and everyone turned toward me. "Ooo where's your new friend?" Wei Wei asked as I glared at her. " You should talk to her brother about it..." Cheng li* advised. "Easy said than done," Fang Fen butted in.

{Cheng Li and Fang Fen are my other roommates}

"She's seriously giving me a headache," I announced " In the past 4 days she seriously following me everywhere disturbing me in every way. She even makes sure I can't talk to anyone of the opposite sex saying that I'm engaged and I should have some distance... I haven't even been able to tell Senior Gu what happened with the PowerPoint, Professor So said because she missed it she has to redo her assignment and I had just done mine in advance, I probably flopped it...".

"Cheer up Qing Qing it's my turn to cook dinner tonight," Wei Wei comforted. "Ah no no I order take away, Wei Wei you can eat your food," laughed Cheng Li "I agree," Fang Feng and I chorused. "You guys are so mean. My cooking isn't that bad. I've been taking cooking classes recently and even my family says it's better," Wei Wei huffed. "Come on guys let's give Wei Wei a chance shall we?" I comforted as everyone laughed. "All alright. What's on the menu today?" Fang Feng admitted in defeat, Wei Wei smiled and got up from the sofa and replied "Spaghetti Bolognese," and walk off into the kitchen.

{Female and Male have their separate dorms. You share it with four other people also assigned to that room, whether you like it or not. I've known Wei Wei since Primary so we were quite lucky to be assigned together. I've made friends with Cheng Li and Fang Feng so it's alright. The dorms are a bit like an apartment, just way smaller. You've two bunk beds with a big table in the middle and a wardrobe at the side of the bunks to the left is the bathroom and to the right is the kitchens.}

"Luckily for me, Qi Mei's dorm and mine aren't even on the same floor," I recounted "She's seriously sticking to me like glue at this rate I won't be able to see Yong Zhen and talk with him on what we will design together. I think I should arrange for a meeting with Qi Yan for him to deal with her sister right? But then in a way, I don't want to get her into trouble,". " Aiyo, Qing Jia she is disturbing you working right now. You are far too kind for your good, if it was me I would have told on her already. Also since you want us to meet Qi Yan as well tell him to invite us for lunch," Cheng Li babbled. "Since when did I say I want you guys to meet Qi Yan?" I asked. " Just now," she replied. " We aren't even dating yet...." I commented. " Yes, you guys skipped a step into engagement," butted in Fang Feng whilst I glared at her.

' I haven't talked to him since I got his number... he might not agree to meet up as I had been airing on the excuse that I was busy with my assignment. I would have been busy if it wasn't for Qi Mei... I need to start this assignment we only have 6 months and it has almost been a month since it was set. It would affect our final grade, other groups have already started yet we don't even have a design. I hurriedly open my phone and found the calendar and it seem as though I don't have anything planned for Saturday and Sunday... What about Qi Yan?

I open We Chat and it seems as though he had changed his bio from single to taken... 'Since when? Uh never mind'.

Chat with Qi Yan:

Qing>3: Hi Qi Yan...

Qing>3: Are you free on Saturday or Sunday?

*Qi Yan is typing...*

Qi Yan: Yes. Why?

Qing>3: Do you wanna go on a date?

Qing>3: No special meaning just my 3 other friends want to meet you...

Qi Yan: Do you like the aquarium?

Qing>3: yes, why?

Qi Yan: You find out tm...

Qing: huh???

Qi Yan: I'll pick you up tomorrow with your friends at 11 am and then we will go somewhere and have lunch after. Is that ok for you?

Qing: Huh??

Qi Yan: I'll take that as a yes.

'Huh? So looks like I have a date tomorrow.' " Guys, cancel everything you schedule tomorrow. Qi Yan has asked me out for a date. He wants to meet my friends," I explained as they screamed in excitement.

"Ye Bai Yi," Qi Yan shouted as Secretary Ye appeared opening the door to his office. "Yes, sir. Anything wrong?" he asked. "Cancel everything I've planned on Saturday and Sunday and reschedule any meetings. Also, book 5 tickets to the best aquarium around here. And book a room in Golden Dragon for lunch," Qi Yan commanded as Secretary Ye thought inwardly ' more work for poor me to do...'
