Chapter 103: Investigation:

Meanwhile, Qi Yan was also very busy during this time. He had tried to investigate Hui Qing and Song Ze Lin's business however there seemed to be a force stopping him from investigating further.

He only found out that Song Ze Lin was the son of Song Yi Chen and Gu Wan Wan. They had 3 children: triplets: Song Ze Yu, Song Ze Lin and Song Ze Yue. However, when the triplets were 9, Gu Wan Wan died of a sickness and after a year Song Yi Chen married Sang Zhi. 

Sang Zhi didn't harm Song Yi Chen's kids yet she didn't either treat them well. She neither hated nor harmed them but she was definitely wary of them. Sang Zhi and Song Yi Chen eventually had a son and 2 daughters- Song Yei Bai, Song Meng Yao and Song Ke Xin. The siblings' relationship was much better than Qi Yan's relationship with his half-siblings. 

Additionally, the report stated that Song Ze Lin died 3 years ago at the age of 18 from heart disease. There wasn't any useful information.

"Useless," I screamed slamming the report onto the table as Ye Bai Yi looked at him in fear. "Boss..." he stammered, "I couldn't find anything else. It's as if the information has been locked,". I stared at him and sighed. "Ye Bai Yi, you're usually really capable, did you not think to search on the dark web?" he asked. "Boss, I did. But again there was nothing. I only scrapped this information through word of mouth. This is quite a lot of information already," commented Ye Bai Yi. 

"Boss, I have an idea. Why don't you go and ask Miss Fu? I'm sure she will tell you," suggested Secretary Ye as I glared at him. "Ye Bai Yi, use your brain and think. If I could get the story out of Hui Qing would I be investigating myself? Also, Hui Qing doesn't even remember me. What makes you think she will tell me?" I retorted. "Get out!" I screamed as Ye Bai Yi hurriedly rushed out. 

"Secretary Ye, why is CEO Qi losing his temper so often recently?" a colleague came up to Ye Bai Yi and asked. "Don't be so nosy! Get back to your work," he ordered as everyone scrambled to continue with their job. 

I sat on my desk with my head in my hands. How exactly can I help Hui Qing remember me? Why can't she remember me? Who exactly is Song Ze Lin? What is their relationship? Why is there so much mystery surrounding the two? 

Luo Wen Ning just died and Feng Xiu Ying has been sent to a mental hospital/ asylum. Yet why are there so many obstacles in our relationship? God, are you mocking me? 

I signed and continued with my work. I've been off work for so long and now I have to pick up this work again. I feel like I should go back on leave. I mean I can always count on Cheng Jia Ping. 

*At this moment Cheng Jia Ping, who is relaxing by the pool sneezed and said who is thinking about me?* 

I stayed in my office the whole day and even slept in there. I mean there's nothing for me to do anyhow nor do I want to go back to an empty home.

Bright early in the morning I was greeted by some breakfast brought by Cheng Jia Ping. "Morning," he muttered cheerfully. I got up and began to sort myself out in the room linked to my office. "Did you sleep here last night?" Jia Ping asked as I nodded. 

"I heard about it from Ye Bai Yi. You can't get anything out of Miss Fu but you can get something out of Mr Fu," he suggested as I looked at him in confusion. "Stupid! You can ask her brother," stated Cheng Jia Ping as I nodded. I forgot about him. 

I quickly drove myself home, ate breakfast and had a shower before driving towards Fu Huai Zhan's house. I had called him before so he knew I was going to look for him
