Instantly, Iris's hand hung in the air just before touching the doorknob. Her body tensed upon hearing Xavier's voice from behind.
'My goodness! Why is he up so early?' Iris wondered. She turned around to face him and could sense the anxiety radiating from his eyes. "I want to jog—"
"Jogging? Are you sure? It's still dark and cold outside..." Xavier expressed his concern. When he saw her nod, his worry grew. "Alright, wait here—"
Iris was confused, looking at Xavier having gone inside. She patiently waited for his return.
After a few minutes, Xavier reappeared wearing his dark long coat. He held something in his hand and passed it to Iris. "Put this on—" he said, offering her the black lightweight fabric.
