New Feature?

Falling into the dreamland Kai was sent into the white desert, where he spent most of his time while sleeping.

Getting up from the ground he dusted off his clothes, but as he was about to move a pain assaulted his foot.

Looking at his leg Kai noticed that even in the dream it was wounded.

'What the hell?'

Shifting his eyes towards the black oak Kai noticed the Raven sitting on one of its branches, inspecting Kai from a distance. The bird had no crown and its feathers were still black in color.

Limping towards the tree, Kai took a deep breath and sat under its shadow. He was feeling dejected, because he thought that he'd at least be free from injury inside his own dreams.

"Can't you help me?"

Turning his gaze towards the Raven Kai received no response and sighed in defeat. Closing his eyes he was about to start absorbing Lunar Energy when suddenly the world started shaking.

Holding onto the tree trunk he lifted his eyes upwards only to see the Raven flapping its wing high in the sky.

Rumble...

Something started to emerge from the white sand some distance away from the tree. Glaring at the object Kai wanted to immediately leave the white desert, but felt strangely reluctant to do so.

After a few minutes of continuous shaking the white desert once again returned to normal and the object or rather a rock was finally above the ground.

Warily looking at the stone that just emerged from the ground, Kai was not keen on exploring it, but seeing that the Raven wasn't panicking, he proceeded to stand up and slowly limp towards the new structure.

As he was nearing the object he noticed a lot of strange carvings on its surface. He didn't even try to translate them, they were too complicated.

Walking around the structure he suddenly found a gap or rather an entrance to a cave on the other side of the rock.

...

...

...

Looking towards the darkness of the cave, Kai took a deep breath before throwing a glance towards the bird who was still sitting on the black oak's branches.

'He isn't alerted...'

Feeling that the bird would've helped him if it was dangerous Kai stumbled into the darkness shrouding the entrance of the path.

As soon as he did he felt as if his consciousness had momentarily blinked, but he didn't have time to think about that, because he was soon thrown into a spacious dark room with a single light source illuminating it whole.

Lifting his eyes he noticed that the Light was produced by an Orb floating high in the air above him.

Looking back towards the walls that were made out of some black material, he hadn't seen before Kai almost wanted to take it out of his dream for inspection.

'What is the purpose of this place?'

Walking all around the space Kai couldn't find a single object or even a secret pathway out of the room.

As he was contemplating whether to just absorb Lunar Energy until the morning or try to find a hidden exit a sound of something clicking resounded across the room.

Click...

As if the world suddenly was wrapped, a huge quantity of Lunar Energy was gathered into the center of the room and soon a weapon, a spear made out of the bone which Kai had produced a few days ago appeared.

'What is this doing here?'

Looking towards its sharp spearhead he limped towards the weapon and grabbed its shaft performing some simple movements that'd be easy to do even if one had both of his legs severely injured.

'Weird...'

Executing the same 'Pierce' movement Kai has used for his entire life he suddenly felt strange repulsion. The way he was conducting its last part felt as if it was incorrect.

With a frown on his face Kai momentarily stopped moving altogether, trying to grasp the source of this feeling.

Was it the way he was holding the spear?

No...

The way he transferred his balance at the last second so the hit would have more force?

No...

His stance?

...

Suddenly Kai recalled that he had never received proper combat training. He has always been self taught and his combat style was formed by various battles he went through.

Kai didn't know why, but only inside the room he felt this strange feeling of repulsion as soon as he made a mistake performing his movement or a stance.

'It might fix my combat style...'

Using this new feeling as a measurement Kai started fixing his posture until the feeling of repulsiveness finally disappeared.

Even though his foot was hurt he instinctively knew that even without it he'd be able to perform a stronger strike than previously.

Whoosh...

This time the tip of his spear tore through the air and the sound of wind he heard when the others practiced was now audible with his every movement.

"This is fun!"

With a smile plastered on his face Kai kept practicing his newly acquired knowledge until he felt his hands go numb from the fatigue.

Falling on the ground he made sure that his foot would have a softened landing and took a deep breath.

'I'm progressing...'

Looking at his trembling arms Kai couldn't help, but smile recalling this feeling that ingrained itself in his mind through countless times he gave his all while training.

While his body was resting his mind started working and suddenly encountered a problem.

'How do I get out of here?'

Looking at the orb floating high in the sky Kai took a seated position resigning to wait until he woke up in the real world.

Meditating he attracted more of the particles towards his core making it slightly stronger than before.

After an hour or two he finally felt a familiar feeling of being pulled and soon found himself outside of the black room, laying on the comfy floor of the cavern.

'I should make a bed'

Massaging his aching back Kai looked at his foot only to notice that its condition was a bit better than yesterday.
