Chapter Eleven:Worrywart

Nephenia opened her eyes slowly, squinting as the ray from the sun had hit her in the eyes.

She sat up rubbing her temples gently as she tried to remember what had gotten her here.

She sat up trying to remember when the flashbacks had came flooding in.

She remembered how she had asked Dray to fight with her, she remembered how she was so confident she was going to win and how she kept dodging all her brother's attack.

She remembered how her brother had teased her and how she had thought of a strategy.

' If the strategy had worked, then why am I here....'

Then she remembered she hadn't even tried what she had planned before Dray had defeated her.

' How did he know to get past me' she thought

' Was my moves predictable?? '

'Maybe Dray was right, I am not as good as him yet'

She sighed.

' I do need to learn more and focus on his moves to defeat Dray' she thought

You learn about your opponent if you really intend to defeat 'em

' I wonder where he is now, I'm pretty sure he will be running his mouth about how he beat me '

" That monster " she muttered, dropping her leg on the floor as she stood up, intending to go look for her brother.

Dray had always been a strong boy since he was a kid and that has left Nephenia thinking he was probably a monster. He had been the strongest among his peers and still was up till now.

Thinking about what had happened earlier, Nephenia knew she had to train more to defeat Dray.

The thought of the screen appearing afront her still baffled her and she knew it get answers..

She would have to Defeat Dray.

She walked slowly around the house, looking around for Dray When...

" What did you do to her?"

" How come she hasn't been up since, I told you to take it easy on her"

A worried feminine voice was heard in the direction of the dining area, her voice booming in anger as she seemed to scold someone.

' Mother...' Nephenia thought

As she walked towards where her mother's voice, as she got closer she could hear her mother's voice clearly.

" Mother, it wasn't intentional "

" I'd never do anything to hurt her , she's my sister and I care a lot about her"

" And you made her unconscious "

" I thought she was going to dodge the attack like the others but....."

" She just happened to stand there, looking into thim air and I couldn't stop myself as it was already too late"

" Dray she's your younger sister and you should be a good brother to her and not....."

" Mother....it's fine, it wasn't his fault I got hurt "

Nephenia who had been eavesdropping, was touched at what her brother had said. She knew he meant it and knew she had to come in to rescue him.

" Nephenia " Everyone called out in unison.

" Mother I am fine, it isn't Dray's fault....I was distracted " She said

" Ooh Neph, you got me worried....I thought you..."

" Nephenia, why don'tyou come join us.... we were about eating"

" But your worrywart of a mother wouldn't stop interrogating Dray" he continued

A man who had been sitting watching his wife scold their son interrupted.

He said gesturing to her to come sit with him.

" Oooh Father" She said walking towards him

"Daryc" She exclaimed as she watched Nephenia walked towards where her father was.

Daryc winked at His wife

' You're so emotional Serena ' he thought.

Nephenia walked past Dray, who sat on a chair heads bowed low as he still felt sorry for what had happened with Neph.

" I'd never do anything to hurt her" Nephenia mimicked him

Dray who held what she said ,raised up his head and smiled.

" The battle isn't over yet" Neph continued before finally walking to meet her Father.

' Hmm....She never relents' he thought as he smiled at the thought of having Nephenia around.

After the battle, he was so scared that he almost shit himself.

He had no idea what to do next.

But luckily for him, his parent had arrived earlier than expected but that also came with serious scolding from his mother.

' I am sorry Neph, I will never hurt you again' he muttered

" Okay y'all should eat"

" Neph is here and she's good, so what are you waiting for" Daryc said smiling, as he tried to ease the tension.

They all sat up straight and started eating while chatting about how their day had been

All except Nephenia who not only had nothing to say but was so engrossed in her own thought, she needed to defeat Dray.

' I do need a good strategy, that wouldn't hurt him but make him weak' She thought.

The Family just sat in the dining area each eating and engrossed in their own thought.
