Olivia had been busy adding to Liam's dishes and serving bowls of soup to Liam.
"Olivia, I want one."
Liam, who had been eating with his head down, snapped his head up and glared at him, "Go by yourself!"
Noah narrowed his gaze, "I suddenly don't want to drink it! It's sour!"
For this meal, Noah watched Liam and Olivia show off their love.
Hmm? Surprisingly, Noah didn't think he'd see them in love either.
But Olivia had just come from visiting Lucas in the hospital this afternoon, and she came out all happy, and now she's here making out with Liam, so something's not right.
"Liam, I heard someone sent you two more bottles of good wine the other day, so why don't you show me the cellar!" Noah thought about having to talk to Liam alone.
Liam heard him, "I knew you'd miss it and saved it for you!"
"What's going on with you and Olivia? Wasn't she given the dissolution of the marriage agreement? You regretting it again?" In the wine cellar, Noah sat on a high stool, his glass of red wine swaying lightly in his hand.
"It's regret; she said she didn't want to break off the engagement and said she wanted to have a good life with me." A chill lingered on Liam's brow, and his heart was in his mouth when he said it.
Noah almost spit out a mouthful of red wine, "A good life? Do you think that's possible?" She afternoon she had also hooked up with Lucas, something Noah hadn't said.
"But I don't want to let go." Liam's still-black eyes narrowed slightly, the curve of his jawline taut and shaky.
...
After Noah left Liam went to the study, having left early from the office in order to come back for dinner and still having a lot of unfinished business on his hands.
Olivia went to her room and took a shower, then kept her ears open for movement next door, and after a long time still didn't hear anything.
Why haven't they come back after chatting for so long? It seemed bad to think that was going to interrupt their chat, but steps went in the direction of the wine cellar without listening.
In front of the cellar's red-oak arched door, Olivia paused and put her ear up to listen for movement inside, muttering that the door was so soundproofed that she couldn't hear any rattling.
Olivia was in the habit of drinking a glass of milk before going to bed, and Ellie brought it upstairs at about the usual time, knocking on the door but not answering.
Thinking it might be Olivia taking a shower, Ellie took the milk to the kitchen to warm it and waited a while before bringing it back up.
"Olivia, is the milk for you on the doorstep or inside?"
Seeing that there was still no answer, Ellie tried the doorknob and, realizing that it was unlocked, pushed her way in, thinking that in the past when Olivia didn't want to bother with them, she would leave the door open for her to signal her to send them right in.
"Olivia, the milk is on the bed for you." I brought the milk to the bedroom only to realize no one was there and the bathroom light was dark.
This... It's not going to run away again!
The scene the other day when Olivia ran away and Liam was in a rage is still fresh in my mind.
But today, Mr. clearly promised to let Olivia go, and in the evening, there was a rare sighting of Liam and Olivia getting along.
Ellie, in a dilemma but still worried that Olivia had been in some kind of accident, eventually went and knocked on the door to the study.
"Liam, I've brought Olivia milk twice, but she's not in her room. You..."
Before the words were finished, the door of the study had already opened, Liam sullenly, his dark eyes chillingly cold, looking at Ellie felt some chills down her spine.
"How long."
"Half an hour more," Ellie replied warily.
"Find!"
The light from the study spilled out from behind Liam, and the man's taut silhouette in the shadows of the light gave off an indescribably cold, hard, and oppressive feeling.
None of the servants up and down Parkview Heights dared to be idle, and Liam was in the surveillance room staring intently at the computer screen, the ink deep in his eyes.
Noah's words kept flashing through my mind: aren't you afraid that she and Lucas are up to something? To get some words out of you or to find some documents? After all, the Cedarburg project the Johnson family has been watching.
Until he saw Olivia sitting on the floor in the cellar doorway.
Olivia didn't know when she fell asleep, feeling the change in temperature around her she opened her eyes languidly, the more she realized she was in Liam's arms!
"You... You guys... Where's Noah?"
The wine cellar was underground, and even the temperature outside the door was chilly through and through, and Olivia was icy cold.
"Olivia, you sleep here?"
"I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation. I just wanted to come over to look for you, but I was afraid of disturbing you, so I fell asleep while waiting at the door..."
"What temperature is it in the cellar? Don't you know you'll freeze if you sleep here?"
Olivia's heart warmed, she had found herself squirming a little at being held in Liam's arms, but now that she was looking at the concern in the man's eyes, she suddenly wanted to be pampered.
She wrapped her arms around Liam's neck and rubbed her head into his arms again, speaking softly, "Not next time."
Liam's frosty aura dissipated as soon as he saw the scene of Olivia asleep, and Olivia's hair fell across his chest, tickling his heart.
This pampered intimate behavior is like in his heart tip sprinkled sugar smeared with honey; shallow smile climbed up to the eyes, the corners of the mouth seemingly hooked arc.
Liam carries Olivia back to her room, and the maids breathe a sigh of relief as if they're finally expecting an amnesty.
"I'll have Ellie bring you a fresh glass of milk later, drink it and go to bed early." Liam put Olivia to bed, tucked her in and got up ready to go.
"Where are you going?" Olivia asked accusingly as she tugged at Liam's sleeve, her scallion-white fingers rubbing nervously and gently.
"The study, there's still some work stuff left to do."
Liam's warm palm held Olivia's hand that was tugging at his sleeve with a hint of helplessness in his tone, "Hands are getting a little cold, put them back under the covers!"
Instead of retracting her hand, Olivia used the force to sit up and lift the covers with her other hand to get out of bed.
"I'll stay with you!"
Liam's hand paused as she tried to go to the study ...
"You want to go to the study?" The emotion was no longer audible in the further opening of the mouth.
"Well, wanted to be next to you." Olivia took Liam's arm in both hands and moved another step forward, leaning against him in a birdlike manner.
"Wear a jacket; you'll catch a cold that way."
With permission, Olivia grabbed a jacket and followed Liam.
Liam is sitting at the computer at his desk, working on a file.
Olivia was half-lounging on the side couch, her laptop resting on her curled legs, looking sideways every now and then.
Liam was handsome and quiet when he was serious about his work, unlike his usual detached aloofness and rejectionist demeanor.
The top-down light depicted the man's finely sculpted side, and once again, Olivia marveled at the fact that there was such a handsome man in the world and, most importantly, that this man was hers!
