-------------------------------

Liu Guanyi managed to leave a scratch on her and showed her a unique and pure swordsmanship different from the Arie sword style that used shinsu. Granted, Adori was caught off guard for a moment and even after that, she wasn't going serious on him at all.

But for the first time, she felt a feeling of respect coming from her opponent, not from fear, nor for being a princess, but for being a skilled and worthy opponent. Experiencing such a fresh feeling, she couldn't help but also give his respect back to him as an equal.

With her interest piqued, Adori began to observe him and even asked him later on, to teach her his sword skill due to her fondness of swordsmanship, and as they trained together, her impression of him changed as well.

Liu Guanyi was the most "lively" person she had met, different from the others. Unlike the ones that she encountered in her childhood who would do anything to any lengths just for the sake of "living" even though their lives didn't have any meaning beyond simply "living", just like her back then.

Or the ones Adori had met after she became a princess.

The ones who always put a face on when they talked to her as they praised her for her talents and beauty, but in truth, their words always concealed way different meanings and purposes.

They kept trying to get closer to her, not knowing and realizing their efforts were futile as she saw them with her childhood experience.

As she was chosen as a regular, something that she had easily expected, she asked the being that she heard what everyone had been saying as the almighty and omniscient "God".

"What's my purpose of climbing the tower, what's the purpose of my life?" Adori asked the omniscient god.

The god simply grinned, showing his sharp rows of teeth. "You can the answer of your purpose and life at the top. Everything has always been placed there. If you want to find the answer, just head to the top. Because at the top, you will find all answers."

Talking with the "God" had confused her even more, she didn't get his words at all. Maybe she was simply unable to understand and comprehend his wise words since he was too far out of the reach of a lowly being like her.

Not knowing what to do, Adori found herself drifting along with the flow.

However, it all began to change after she looked into those calm, still, and dark abyss-like eyes.

Adori watched him, training himself with such intensity and determination that she never felt from anyone before. Every single of his action and step had their own dedicated purpose.

It was as if Liu Guanyi was living in a different world from anybody else. He was walking on his own path while the others simply walked following the paths that had been traversed before.

Watching him, Adori couldn't help but to move her legs closer and closer… until she finally decided to grasp his outstretched hand. She decided to follow him walking on the new path, finding new experiences, and another person who walked with him.

After years of climbing the tower, perhaps Adori Zahard finally found it… no!

Perhaps… Adoru... had finally made the purpose of her life…

A slight smile formed on her face. "It's simple, we just have to follow the big groups. The regulars have barely begun to search the forest for the bananas so they should be relatively easy to find at the moment."

Adori continued. "And since they are barely entering the forest, the regulars aren't separated far enough from one another so there's bound to be a noise once some of them obtain the bananas."

"We just have to follow some of the big groups for a while and once they find the bananas, we can simply take them by force."

"That's not a bad idea, but only following a single big group doesn't guarantee us to get the banana. After all, there are five gathering spots, so there are five instances where the regulars entered the forest from, and more competitors than just from our batch." Said Liu Guanyi.

"Moreover, if the bananas are harder to find than expected and the regulars are already separated far from each other it will be hard to hear the rackets they make once they find the bananas." Liu Guanyi explained the risks of her proposition on point quickly as Xin nodded at his explanation, agreeing with him.

"Then we just have to split up into three to follow three different groups. And when one of us finds the bananas, we can notify the others and follow them until the rest of us come to help or if possible, take the bananas directly."

"It might be a risky and impossible move for other teams but for us, it's extremely viable." Adori calmly elaborated.

Hearing her response, Liu Guanyi and Xin looked at each other as both of them smirked.

"Well, you are right on that one, princess. You should rely on me, Xin, the greatest scout in the making! So no need to worry I'll find those bananas real quick!" Xin stepped forward and proudly proclaimed himself.

Seeing this, Adori stared at him with an amused face. "Are you okay after sticking to Liu all the time? Don't you feel that you are changing into something weird?"

"Nah, on the contrary, I have never been freer and happier. I simply grow past my adolescent phase and matured. And it's not like you aren't following Mr. Liu as well." Xin smiled at her, throwing back her argument.

"It's different for me. I'm not following him all day like you and I'm not changing into something weird like you are." Adori casually rebutted.

Looking at both of them bickering and having a banter, Liu Guanyi smiled in satisfaction. Compared to years ago, their relationship had developed pretty well. Adori was a person of few words and Xin was a depressed child so they basically never talked to each other.

Without his subtle guidance and efforts to get them close and change them a bit by bit, they would never be able to talk like this. Liu Guanyi didn't want to lead a dysfunctional team, it would make a bad impression on Adori, at least much worse than if they were able to talk like this.

"Alright guys, let's not waste more time before the regulars got far. Let's do what you have suggested, princess."

Just like Liu Guanyi, Adori also has a complex character. This is why she has an unorthodox mindset and can work really well with him. If it's a princess like Yuri or Androsi, Liu Guanyi would need to "educate" them before they could even communicate properly.

Other than Adori, Maschenny could also certainly work pretty well with him with her cunning mind, though he will surpass her skill and prowess in no time as she is far from Adori's level.
