Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Tiring Them Out

"Just leave them alone for now, at some point we'll have to fight them, just not now."

A lot of those people by themselves were just as strong as himself or even stronger. Approaching them was just begging to get knocked out so it was best to avoid them. Right now their priority was to make it into the final one hundred people. After their small display of skill it seemed like most of the people who had eyes on them backed off for a bit. "They'll be back." Zilan knew they would get impatient enough to try their luck once more. "Time to wait." Chatting with the rest of the group they let about an hour pass before another group finally approached them again. A lot of the weaker people had been knocked out by now so it was best to stay alert.

"More coming, get ready."

Calling that out to everyone, Xilo counted how many people they had as he prepared himself. "Six of them." WIth a smaller number then their group they had to be confident with their strength. Attacks came shooting at them as Sarin and Darin did their best to defend everyone while Marie and Relia fought back. One spear made of lightning pierced through the sky and directly into one's chest. They instantly passed out as Xelfia closed in on another, knocking them out instantly. Xilo and ZIlan hadn't even moved before half of their group had been knocked out. From the looks of it, they didn't even have to either as Xelfia knocked the last of them out with Marie's help.

"Well that was quick."

Looking at their bodies Xilo was surprised.

Xilo thought they would have been tougher than normal since they approached in smaller numbers but it looks like that wasn't the case. Backing up so their bodies could be collected and healed they assumed more people would leave them alone again. "Time for more rest." They were wrong, within a minute another bigger group approached them with ten people. Getting right back into the fight they swiftly tried to take care of them all. They were a bit stronger then the first group because of their numbers however that was all. After a few minutes they had knocked them all out and repeated the process.

"Surely more people will give up fighting us now."

Xilo looked around the field as Tearia said that behind him and spotted another group coming closer not too far off.

"Looks like another group is coming, even bigger than last time with about twenty people from what I can see."

"Why are they all coming for us suddenly!?"

Tearia had asked the question in all of their minds. "Probably just a coincidence." Looking around at the other groups still fighting Xilo told himself as Ice Energy travelled along his arm. The last two fights he had been able to take it a bit easier, now though there was nearly double the amount of people approaching them for a third time. The other members we're going to start needing some extra help to save energy. There were still a ton of people to fight so it was best to save all the energy they could. With the twenty people in front of them Astral Energy flew into the air as they attacked each other at once. Xilo ran around his group as an Ice Dagger slipped into his hands along with a second one filled with darkness.

Throwing the one with darkness he caught one of the men off guard and got him right in the stomach. Running up to him he kicked him in the stomach right onto the ground as he slashed at another guy right behind the first. Tearing the man's armour apart along with his clothing he created a giant scar filled with blood before he knocked him to the side. With two knocked out by Xilo he saw more of them getting knocked out by the rest of his group. "They have a lot of numbers but..." That was all these people had, they fell over instantly to all of their attacks without putting up much of a fight. They were just weak and annoying more than anything. Soon all of them were knocked out as Xilo noticed Relia's breathing turn slightly heavy.

"You alright Relia?"

"....Fine...."

Trying her best to not let anything show Relia waved it off.

"If you need to take a break, we should have ti-"

"We got more coming and there are even more. I'm counting at least thirty."

"Seriously?"

Hearing Zilan, Xilo turned around to see a horde of people approach them instantly without giving them time for a break. "This isn't normal." A couple of groups coming for them was fine. This many was getting a bit crazy especially because of how weak they were so far. Numbers helped a lot but they weren't everything. Plus from the looks of it everyone else wasn't dealing with nearly as many people as their group was. In fact quite a few people were watching their group take on these hordes of weaklings. "...Could this be Laven's plan?" That was the only thing that Xilo could reasonably think of for all of these people to just throw themselves at them and so quickly. Every other idea he came up with just didn't make sense.

"I think Laven is messing with us."

Zilan came to that conclusion as well as he looked at all those people.

"Yeah, that seem's to be the case. My guess is he wants to tire us out by sending all of these people at us without stopping. After he'll swoop in for the easy kill."

"Why are all these people agreeing to just lose though?"

"He probably is paying them to do it and since their weak it's a better deal for them to take. Since losing to us is a lot easier then winning this event."

Xilo had a few ideas as to why but that one sounded the most reasonable to him.

"Or they could just work for him..."

Enjoy.
