Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

Difficult Times

Giving up Xilo turned around grabbing Xelfia's hand and walked out of the hallway back to the center room. Along the way though he finally noticed the injuries he had received during the snake's pressure had disappeared and now he was back to the way he was before entering. "Did he heal me or perhaps the room itself is designed that way? I guess I'll find out next room." After that Xilo found the exit again and walked through the door back into the open room.

"Well we're here."

Looking out at the room he spotted the other doors that would presumably lead to the tests the snake had mentioned beforehand as he turned to see if Xelfia afterwards to see if she had gone through any changes yet herself. But watching her staring off into nothing the same as before he assumed nothing was different but just as he was about to give up however something had caught his eye. He had almost missed it before but stepping forward and taking a closer look at Xelifa he stared at her hair directly in front of her and caught sight of the change he had almost missed.

"Interesting..."

He didn't know why exactly but the golden strands that occupied her red hair here and there were now shining vibrantly as if they were showing off to the world. Even her eyes were experiencing the same thing but a little less intense. Though he did notice her pupils flickering from her normal look to slits whenever she was in her original lizard form. Seeing Xelfia's changes he was quite curious to what was going on in her head at the moment but he knew that would have to wait until after she was back to normal to know. For now he was just left with his thoughts as he finally gained some room to breathe and think a little.

Yet that also came with a price of being overwhelmed slightly and stressed. He had so many things to think about moving forward and so many things he had to accomplish even right this second. It was something he hadn't felt in his life before. What with the four other tests that he knew nothing about that he would have to pass. Along with what had happened beforehand. "Stop,stop,stop..." Trying to stop himself from thinking and feeling all these things for the first time he attempted to push them away but now that he was alone and nothing to occupy him they kept flooding in without an end in sight and he felt like he was drowning.

"I Killed someone..." Something he knew he would probably have to do someday but not so soon had happened and it was a scary feeling. Having killed so many Astral Beasts before and having felt nothing from the very beginning he had become numb to the feeling of killing them completely as he continued on at normal at the time. When that had happened he figured it was more normal for someone to feel like that since they were Astral Beasts but he knew that thinking was wrong and it proved him right when he met Xelfia and that thought haunted him and worried him. But now he also felt similar things towards another human like him and that was terrifying as well.

The only thing he remembered feeling at the time when he shoved that knife into his chest was hatred and disgust that never stopped flowing until he sunk that knife into him but even now it was still the same and he was already dead. Xilo didn't feel guilt, sadness or even pity or any other emotion he could think of. He just wanted to feel something about it besides those things. "Then there's Tearia...." Thinking about her hatred ran through his body a bit but he mostly felt disappointment and betrayal with her more than anything else. They had gotten of to a weird start at first but he didn't mind spending more time with her and now-

"Mmm."

Breaking his thoughts he felt a warm feeling touch his lips as hands grabbed his head and pulled him in closer face to face with Xelfia as she kissed him and pushed her body against him hard. Feeling her warmth entering his mouth and their lips touched he tasted her salvia and its sweetness as his mind melted and his thoughts disappeared while enjoying the moment but not without a silent thank you in his head. Deciding to enjoy the moment they both stayed like that for a couple minutes as Xilo wrapped his arms around her waist while they lost themselves in each other's passion until finally breaking off from each other with some difficulty some time later.

"Haa..."

"Haa...."

"Better now?"

Seeing Xelfia in front of him with a slight smile Xilo let his breathing settle down a little before nodding. Watching Xilo nod Xelfia smiled as she gave him one last peck before backing away and looking around at her surroundings and noticed where they were. "How long was I out of it?" Seeing they were back in the main room again and she had no idea what had happened she was a little confused but for the most part she guessed everything went okay though her mind was also a little bit of a mess as well.

"So what happened?"

Hearing Xilo's calm voice enter her ears as he finally looked a lot better then before she relaxed a little as she thought about what to say since he was probably talking about her little zone out.

"I saw some memories."

"Memories? what were they?"

"They were a little vague but from what I saw it seemed to be a war of some sorts between these four legged reptile creatures with giant wings coming out of their backs with a horn on its head fighting something."

" Maybe it was dragons though there's quite a few different creatures that are similar to that description from what I remember."

Hearing Xelfia talk about ancient creatures fighting a war he thought back to the nepl's as he asked another question.

"Do you know exactly what they were fighting?"

"Not really."

"Did it atleast look human at all?"

"No, from what I could tell it was just one massive giant creature that blocked out half the sky with no end in sight. It didn't look human in the slightest."

"I see..."

Hearing something different from what he expected, Xilo was a little disappointed being unable to find out more information about them but that was probably to be expected. He would probably have to find more people who found similar things to him if he wanted to find out more after all. Though he did have more questions left to ask.

"Did the creatures you see win? Or perhaps that giant thing won?"

"Honestly I don't know, I never saw that much. Only bits and pieces here and there. But for the most part it looked like a winning battle. But I can't be certain only seeing bits and pieces, sorry."

"It's okay, I was just curious that's all."

"Though that reminds me what exactly happened?"

"Thats...."

Enjoy
