A Battle Of Beasts

Xelfia's skin lightly burned while staying inside of her little bubble of protection. "This Dragon isn't quite dead..." Xelfia couldn't quite put her finger on why it was alive though. "Azurin and others said it was a Spirit." The rumours could very easily be wrong, It was Azurin's words that she trusted. "It's also not as weak as it should be." Azurin said she should have been able to fight it at her current strength months ago. Now she was a lot stronger and she could already see herself struggling. With the flames dying out Xelfia felt the heat get into her lungs as her skin completely morphed. This Dragon deserved every aspect of her strength, just like Dragons, Xelfia was extremely prideful and refused to lose.

"Trust me Familiar One, I haven't even begun."

Her water fell to the ground as a pair of claws attached themselves to Xelfia's hands. Even if she felt a connection with this dragon she had a job to do. Before it could attack again Xelfia got under its belly and clawed at its stomach. Dragging her hands across its skin she heard the sound of scales ripping apart while some fell around her. A roar of pain left its mouth as it slammed its entire body into the ground. Holding the dragon up Xelfia dug her heels into the ground as Astral Energy converged into her arms. Her Muscles tore themselves apart as she managed to lift the dragon off the ground just a little bit. "I'm not much of a fan of dodging." Tossing the Dragon to the side, Xelfia could feel her scales mending.

"The...Strength..Of a beast."

Pulling its broken body upright the Dragon stared deeply at the red haired girl with intrigue. It knew this human form was just a disguise for its real form. Its senses had dulled tremendously over the years thanks to the Astral Zone because of that it only noticed a familiar blood line in the girl whether it was weaker or the same. Their were many different sub species of Dragon's in the world born from stupid Dragons that didn't have the patience for a proper mate or child. Females Dragons had a very low successful birth rate amongst their kind and that slowly led to their downfall and crossbreeding. From the small connection the dragon felt it figured the girl was a part of the lowest breed of dragons.

"A...Lowly..Lizard..."

Lizards stood at the very bottom of the Dragon subspecies being the weakest most disgraceful race. They were a mistake of a race that should have never come to be, one Prince Dragon in particular was too lost in lust and ended up creating them by accident. "This girl's strength...isn't that of a lizards though." With its barely coherent thoughts the Dragon could at the very least see that. "Then what are you." Interested in learning more, the Golden dragon attacked again.

"A Wyvern, a Hydra, a Dalgan, A serpent, A land dragon or...a half breed?" The girl saw her paw coming and took it head on without flinching. Feeling a pair of sharp claws dig into her paw the dragon brought up her other hand and smashed it together like a clap.

"Even if I'm just some lizard, that doesn't mean I'm weak."

Stretching out her other hand Xelfia caught both paws as she did her best to stop them from crushing her. "No more fire please." The Golden Dragon's eye stared down at the red headed girl trying her best to survive its attack. Putting more strength by the second in it, the Dragon could have borrowed power from the Astral Zone to help. "I refuse." Its pride refused to let the parasite in its body ever be helpful even if it died because of that. Its memories were vague and hazy, all eaten by the Astral Zone with time. The Dragon knew that it had come here for some reason in the past, it had long forgotten why now though. "I was attacked...by so many and ran." This was the place it thought it would be safest at the time.

Breaking free of the Dragon's clutches, water shot straight at the dragon's mouth like a geyser. Staggering backwards from the force the Dragon saw the girl jump into the air and come right for its face. Meeting it eye to eye, Xelfia slammed its skull into the ground with the force of a mountain. Hitting the ground the Dragon felt its head spin as the girl's claws dug into its snout. "Why did I run here?" The connection between the girl and the Dragon grew as its senses slowly repaired itself. The Astral Zone was losing its grip on the dragon each moment it fought. "I wanted to see...someone." Flapping it's large wings the Dragon created a huge gust of air that blasted straight into the girl and knocked her off its head.

Even if its wings could no longer be used to fly, they had other uses. Wiping its tail around it tried to whack the girl. Putting her arms up Xelfia felt her scales harden as the bones smashed into her pushing her back. She managed to hold her ground, in return she smashed a part of its tail bones into pieces. A large roar escaped the mouth as it felt its tail breaking. "I'll end all your suffering." If this dragon wanted a prideful death Xelfia planned on giving it one. Breaking its tail into pieces Xelfia held nothing back as she went into a mini frenzy. Her blood was boiling in excitement like it never had before. "This is a fight!" Her eyes had swapped from the normal human ones to slit's that had changed colours.

Her hands had morphed into actual claws as her body slowly morphed back into her original form. One she hadn't taken in a very long time, she was going back to her roots of instincts. "I've been too passive lately." With Xilo always around, Xelfia had managed to suppress a lot of these kinds of instincts and feelings. Fighting against one of her own kind though she felt them coming back out. Whether they were used as a defensive mechanism or something else was lost to her. Annoyed With the girl's constant attacking, the Golden dragon had enough. Fire exited it's mouth and burned a trail along the ground straight for Xelfia. Water quickly tried to block it but the Golden Dragon wasn't done. Rushing forward with its fire, its paws gained strength as it bashed the girl's protection, breaking it instantly.

Xelfia's body was sent flying instantly through the air as blood and bones broke. Smacking into a pile of rubble Xelfia stared up at the air in a daze. "I'm...stronger." Having zero care for anything she pushed the debris off her with her claws as she stood back up. Watching from afar the Golden Dragon was impressed that the girl still had fight in her. "Hmmm...something's off." Going on full alert it felt danger for the first time. "This feeling, it's too familiar." Staring at the spot where the girl was, she saw a figure appear that it didn't recognize.

"You..."

Standing on all fours at half the size of a building wrapped in crimson scales with a small set of horns on their head and a pair of wings sprouting from their back the Golden Dragon shuddered.

"You're no Lizard...what are you?"

With a Roar of her very own Xelfia gave no answer other than that.
