It was in the wee hours of the morning. Everywhere was still dark. Elena had fallen asleep at the counter, hiding underneath to ensure she wasn't spotted by the Man-eaters.
Her blade rested just beside her, ready to be held in case there was an attack.
At that moment, there was a buzz. She immediately opened her eyes. Spreading out her aura, she ensured that there was no threat.
She sighed in relief as she retracted her aura. Checking her watch, the buzz sound turned out to be a result of a notification. Four of their squad members had gotten to the rendezvous point.
Thankfully, they did not run into anything dangerous. Elena nodded as she sent a message across. "Stay put for now. Ensure the safety of the meeting point. If anything goes wrong, report back."
She moved out of her hiding spot and stretched a bit. Her nap had managed to return her to peak condition. It was not at all wasted.
