They ran until they got to the end of the storeroom, along the way, Nathan got a good view of the Man-eater that ambushed Elena… at least, what was left of it.
Its head was at one end while its body parts were scattered all over. He could not help but gulp as he imagined her movements while fighting with the creature.
"What now?" Elena asked. "Our escape route is just behind this wall," Nathan replied while double-checking the map displayed on his wristwatch.
She nodded in understanding and charged her blade. "Stand back." He immediately did as he was told. In a swift motion, She swung her blade twice, forming a large X on the wall before kicking it.
Applying little force, the wall crumbled at the impact, and a new entrance formed. On the other side was a dark alleyway.
Just then, they felt the tremors from earlier. It was approaching once again. They quickly made their move.
