As Elena watched the incoming attacks with fervor in her eyes, she still held out hope that Jeremy and Gary would be of some help in such a dire situation.
Even though she had resolved to die if it could not be helped, at least she would try to bring down as many as possible before that, but then again, having an alternative to go with, she wasn't too keen on dying so early.
After all, she had a mission to complete and a person to impress… no wait, was there a need for that?
It didn't matter regardless. In any case, the bottom line of everything remained that if she could escape from her death, then she would gladly accept it.

Thus she held out hope and thankfully, it was not in vain.
