Steven pursed his lips, seemingly in deep thought before speaking. "I guess I'd have to take a step back to reevaluate things once we are done with this trial."
Richard was not surprised by this. He had expected such a conclusion from Steven. Anyone that had just gone through such shock, Not just any normal shock but a shock that overturned everything they believed in since they were able to understand what was happening around them.
It was a shock that affected one to the very core of their being, one that couldn't be easily shaken off. The fact that Steven did not immediately collapse was a testament to not only his superhuman willpower but also the fact that he knew that this was not the time for that.
