To tend

The next day, after the incident with the ones that came to negotiate with the king, in the morning, when Zion woke up, he stretched off and felt that his body was a bit different, as was the energy that was flowing around him and knew that something was wrong.

Zion got up from his bed, stretched off and looked himself in the mirror, to see if anything was visibly wrong with him and he exhaled deeply when he saw everything looked normal.

Why do I feel this way if everything is normal?" He wondered as his eyes narrowed.

[The energy that you are feeling is like that because it is slightly unstable; it's because you are still new to this and have not gained the control needed as yet.]

After hearing that, Zion sighed then looked at his right arm, knowing that he had a lot to do, starting from now on and he scoffed, grabbed his clothes and went to freshen up.

As Zion was taking his bath, a slight mark began to appear on his arm, for a split second then disappeared and he didn't even see it at the time, but that was not something that was normal.

When he finished freshening up, he changed his clothes, then left the room, heading to the dining hall to get breakfast, when he saw Goran in one of the hallways, looking as though he was stressed about something.

"Uh... You okay?" Zion asked as he approached him and Goran glanced at him then smiled a little.

"Good morning, Zion," Goran responded.

"Good morning, I asked a question," He said and Goran chuckled then sighed.

"Yeah, I heard you, don't worry, I am fine, it's just that there is a lot to deal with lately and I am starting to wonder what is going to happen if the king doesn't accept..." He replied and Zion's eyes narrowed.

"Your worries are understandable, but they won't risk attacking, that's not something you should worry about right now, they are not that stupid, it will all go against what they want even if the try," He said and Goran looked at him and he grinned.

"You seem to don't care, but you also seem very relaxed, why are you not afraid of them?" Goran asked and Zion smiled at him.

"I have many reasons, I just know them through my studying, relax a bit and let's go have our breakfast," He responded and Goran exhaled deeply.

"It's very difficult to understand you, so I am not going to even ty, let's just go get our food," He said and Zion smiled then both of them left to go to the dining hall.

'I know how they work and that will benefit us, I will break each and every one of them, they like playing high and mighty, I will show them just how wrong that can go,' He thought with his eyes narrowed as they arrived at the dining hall.

"Good morning," Both of them said as they looked at the king and he glanced at them with a smile before greeting them as well.

"Come on, sit down and have breakfast, also Zion, about the question you asked with the fallen city, is that important for you to know?" The king asked as Zion took his seat and Zion glanced at him.

"Yeah, it is if I have to do a certain thing," He responded and the king's eyes narrowed, knowing that Zion was up to something.

"The fallen city was one that earned a lot of respect in the past until they destroyed it, now, it is hard to find where it is, due to many parts being in ruins, but there are a lot of valuable things there, some of which, they have no idea about as yet," He said and Zion looked at him.

"Now, that I didn't know, you see, I need to change a course, a path and in order to do that, I am going to need to revive a few things, I need to know the location of the fallen city, I want to have a look if that's possible," He replied and the king smiled.

"Is that so? I take it you do have your own plans as well, fine, I will let you know the location, first, tell me, what's with you and the other side?" The king asked and Zion glanced at him, for he knew that the king would be curious about that.

"Let's just say it's payback; that's enough for you, isn't it?" He asked.

"Yeah, it is, now that I know, you will never side with them on anything, that's very good to know," He responded and Zion chuckled then they took their food and began eating.

As Zion was eating, his eyes began glowing as a few things from his past, came to his mind and he clenched his fist, in irritation, since he didn't like to think of any of it, after all, all it left on him was a scar that couldn't remove but he intended to tend to the ones that gave it to him by giving them the same one.

The king glanced at him and noticed that he was lost in his own thought but decided not to say anything about it, since from his point of view, Zion looked a bit hurt.

A little while after, when they finished eating their breakfast, the king got up then looked at Zion.

"Can you give me the location? I need to start working on a few things, one which will hit hard," Zion said as his eyes narrowed.

'He really doesn't like them and has his own plan in dealing with them, what an interesting character, well, let's see what can be done,' The king thought.

"Fine, if you want to go then you can just come along with me, get up, let's go," He replied and Zion sighed then got up.

"Thank you," Zion said and the king nodded then walked away and Zion followed him and a few minutes after both of them left the castle in a carriage, along with Goran, to go and see the fallen city, which was not far from them.
