Have to be prepared

A little while after leaving the city in the carriage with the others, Zion looked at Rivar and saw that his eyes were closing knowing that he was tired and wondered whether Rivar would be fine within the dungeon or not, since it was his first time.

Zion knew that he had no idea of the full horror one could experience in a dungeon, fully traumatizing one for life, changing everything about them and he hoped that they wouldn't experience such a thing in the dungeon they are going to.

He wanted no such thing for a newbie but that's also something to be expected if you chose a job like their own your own, you have to have the gut to face such horrendous things, always be prepared.

"Is this really your first time in a dungeon?" Nicolas asked.

The guy was sitting outside, at the front of the carriage and Rivar and Zion were sitting on the opposite side of him, which was close and Zion glanced at him.

"Yeah, it is," He responded and Nicolas scoffed.

"I see, you don't really look worried though or is it that you just good at hiding what you are feeling?" He asked and Zion scoffed.

"No, that's not it and I am a bit worried, but if you choose a job like this, certain things are expected, which is why you have to be prepared to face anything, even the so-called horrors that a dungeon may possess, you know we have to be careful even if what the assistant said to me earlier may be false, am I right?" Zion asked and then glanced at him.

"Yeah, you are right, you have to be brave, a job like this always comes with the chance of you getting killed almost every day," He responded and Zion nodded with a slight smile.

Nicolas looked back and saw that some of his party members were tired and had fallen asleep and he smiled a little before sighing.

"Guys, we won't take long to reach the dungeon, we may even reach it by morning or before, it depends, if anyone needs to stop to do anything, just say the word and we will stop, got it?" He asked and some of them looked at him.

"Yeah," They mumbled and at the same time, Rivar opened his eyes and he sighed as he looked at them then at Zion, who braced his head back on the carriage.

"Are you going to sleep as well?" Rivar asked and Zion glanced at him.

"Not as yet," He responded as Rivar went into the bag they packed and he took out the food that they bought and he handed it to Zion.

The young man thanked him then they began eating dinner, as did a few others from Nicolas's party, since it was getting late and they were hungry as well.

As they were eating, a few things came to Zion's mind, thinking about their path to the dungeon and his brows furrowed, wondering whether or not, monsters were in the area, since most of the time, they usually were, unless they were cleared out by some in other job types or just went their own way.

"Nicolas, you don't think what the boy said was right or had some truth to it right?" A girl within their party asked.

She was short, had brown hair, which was in a pony, fair, slim and had light brown eyes and her name was apparently Lila.

"I don't think so, Lila, we will just have to see for ourselves, you guys can back out if you want," He responded and she smiled at him and then sighed.

"Well, one thing for sure, that's not going to happen, we are all a team after all, if by chance it's what he said is true, we will fight through it together, it's not like this is the first time," She said and he chuckled.

Within Nicolas's party, there were three girls and four guys, including him and some seemed to be experienced, while some didn't, which made Zion wonder, if the dungeon was really dangerous as the young man was saying then what would happen.

"Don't tell me, you guys are worried back there, Zion?" Nicolas asked and Zion glanced at him then scoffed.

"Not quite, but I think you should heed the young man's warning, he could be right, in dungeons unexpected things are a daily occurrence, if you are not careful, you can lose limbs and if not that, your life, it is no joke," He responded and Nicolas's eyes narrowed as he looked at him.

"Now, is that what you heard from others or do you have a little experience in the area?" He asked and a smirk appeared on Zion's face and Rivar glanced at him.

"Which one do you think it is?" Zion asked and the guy scoffed.

"I am not sure yet, you are sort of hard to figure out, well, we will see how you do in the dungeons," He responded and Zion scoffed.

When Zion finished eating his meal he glanced outside and his brows furrowed then he sighed as he thought back on a few things, which mostly included his training.

'I wonder how long it will take to wake it up, I have to start in this dungeon or I will take longer, I have to push myself more forward or I will be stuck, my abilities... It's time I make my move, they have had enough time as well,' He thought as his eyes narrowed then he closed them before bracing back on the carriage.

A little while after, Zion fell asleep since he wanted to get his rest so he wouldn't run out of energy when it was time to go into the dungeon.

"Guys, get some rest, you are going to need it," Nicolas said and the others nodded, then prepared to sleep, including Rivar and Zion.

Just a few hours, after he slept away, he heard noises and his brows furrowed and when he opened his eyes, he saw it was bright and Rivar looked at him.

"Guys, we are here," Nicolas said and Zion glanced at him then Nicolas greeted him a good morning and Zion's brows furrowed as the carriage came to a halt.

"Come on," Nicolas said and they all exited the carriage.

Rivar's eyes widened when he saw the dungeon before them and the others smiled a little, since they had finally arrived after a few hours on the road.
