Chapter 35: Together We Can
The room falls still as Indigo rises to her feet. The other council members stop their note taking, remaining seated but sitting up straighter as Indigo takes command of the room once more. I guess everything really is decided on by her. Terrifying.
My heart sinks at the thought of this woman, this singular figure, deciding the fate of Eileen. I don’t think I’m going to like whatever comes out of her mouth next. Or whatever reaction Bea will have if it doesn't go her way.
Indigo clears her throat, holding up her hand as it emits a purple glow. I can feel the tension in my jaw slowly begin to lax. There’s still some control over it, but she must be silencing others as well.
