Chapter 41: Onto More Important Issues
"No matter what, you are with me. I will protect you and nobody here," he paused, pointing to the entire house, "is more important to me than you and our daughter."
Chloé gave him a smile of appreciation. She couldn't believe he was saying that she was that special. Maybe his family had done things to hurt him in the past. Or perhaps the hurt was from Kemal's side, only.
He stood and Chloé stared up at him in his black tie, black oxford, suit coat, and black pants. He was what you see out of magazines. Even as Dark Kemal, he was mesmeric and right now, he was the only one who would protect her.
Kemal quietly but firmly turned the silver door handle to the outside. The double doors opened and several stone steps led to the circular outdoor dining and drinking area. Efe was already down there but when he pointed up, Kemal's mother was first to raise her head to look up.
