The Precipice

After bidding farewell to Moon and the other slugcats, Finn and Spearmaster found themselves descending Moon's body. They paid little heed to most of the beasts that attempted to obstruct their path, simply running past them. Those that tried to follow were easily lost within the labyrinthine tunnels of Moon's body.

Unfortunately for Finn, he soon realized that Spearmaster quickly grew tired after just a few hours of traveling. It served as a reminder that Spearmaster was nothing like his clones, who possessed his formidable endurance. However, this issue was easily resolved by Finn carrying Spearmaster upon his back, much to Spearmaster's embarrassment. who remarked that it felt like being treated like a pup.

In this manner, they continued for quite a while, with Finn taking directions from Spearmaster on where to go and when to turn. Occasionally, they had to pause for Finn to hunt and eat. Finally, they arrived at a gate which, as SM had informed him, led to the first leg of their journey.

The precipice....

Emerging through the gate, Finn wasted no time and took the lead. Dim, dark blue lights illuminated their path as they ventured through the tunnel. They continued forward until they saw light shining through the tunnel's exit, which led them onto a ledge. There, they found themselves in the desolate and haunting subregion known as Precipice. The area was dark and foreboding, with the landscape dominated by towering cliffs and jagged rocks that protruded from the side of Moon's body.

The beautiful flora did little to ease the eerie and surreal atmosphere. The combination of the stark, rugged landscape, the subtle bioluminescent glow, and the ever-present sound of rain, in Finn's opinion, created a sense of foreboding beauty.

{Watch your step} Spearmaster's voice snapped Finn from his trance as he observed the landscape and the bridge like structure that stretched far into the distance ahead. He began to climb down the many outsticking rocks, making excellent holds for his descent. Finn followed behind Spearmaster who descended with shocking speed and swiftness, a pace that Finn couldn't quite match.

Fortunately, the climb was not too long, and Finn soon found himself standing at the bottom beside Spearmaster. Where they both stared at a large gap that cut off the bridge-like structure. Without seeming to mind the gap, Spearmaster quickly walked over the edge and walked over it, much to Finn's horror, as he rushed over to check on Spearmaster, where he found him hanging off a pole as he made his way to an area below where they had been standing. Finn wasted no time and following suit.

'Scared the hell out of me,' Finn thought silently as he followed Spearmaster, who swiftly removed some grass and vines that had blocked a vent on the ground, which after going through finn found he and the spearmaster were on the other side of the gap allowing them to continue on.

Unfortunately, the journey was far from easy. Finn had to leap from one platform to another, and his heart would drop every time he looked down, as the ground was obscured by the dim atmosphere.

*2 hours later*

After several hours with no living beings in sight, Finn and Spearmaster finally found themselves at another gate much to his relief as he did not know he could handle traveling over this run down broken bridge again.
