CH20: Talking with five Deities

''Young master Ethan you were the one who bought the relics?''

Aatu one of the Deity-level cultivators of Seven Petal Valley asked.

Wearing a bright brown robe with an exquisite lotus embroidery the five Deities gently asked Ethan about the witch's relics.

''So you are saying you bought the relics because you thought they were just some antique books''

''Yes senior Aatu when I first saw them I had taken an interest in the mystery they have so I bought them''

''So where's the relics?''

Ethan moved closer to them showing them the tattered books he had bought.

Aatu took the books and began to chant a spell in the witch's language. The tattered books begin to glow turning the blank pages animated.

Aatu and the rest of the Deities nodded their heads and sealed the books before storing them in a specialized ring.

''I'm sorry for the trouble young master Ethan but we need to return the relics to their rightful owners''

Ethan was surprised by this so he asked

''There is someone who owns those relics?''

The rest of the Deities was quite hesitant to tell Ethan about it but Aatu still answered his question.

''Yes the white witches of the north own these relics they have asked us for help to locate them before the black ones arrive'' Aatu answered as he stood up to leave the room.

They begin to exit the room before Aatu looks back at Ethan.

''Young master what are you doing when the commotion in the forest happened?''

Ethan looked at him before answering ''I was inside my room advancing to earth level when the explosion started''

Aatu nodded then followed his subordinate with a flash they disappeared without a trace.

Ethan went outside the room walking towards the staircase when he bumped into Meo.

''How is it? did it go well?''

Meo asked him as soon as he saw her.

''Yeah it went well apparently they already went back''

Ethan ends up talking to her about the incident in the forest until they see Dane.

With a pernicious look, Dane tried to bump Ethan's shoulder but was intercepted by Pyr's head.

Bam!

Dane tried his best not to show his pain but Ethan was well aware of the cracking sound he heard.

''Did Dane do something to you?''

Meo also heard the noise but she thought it was Ethan who had been injured Meo looked at Dane with a viscous look poor Dane couldn't complain with his broken arm.

''Thanks for everything Miss Meo''

Walking towards his room Ethan bowed slightly before entering his room.

''Master why give them the relics''

Pyr jumped on the bed asking if it was a rare chance to get your hands on a treasure like that but he still gave it away.

''It's fine Pyr besides I made a copy of it''

Ethan smiled and showed him the three books he had copied.

''Now I can use them as a reference for my

research''

''Master what research is it?''

''Hehe...I'll show you once I'm done now we should rest since we have to travel tomorrow''

The sun began to rise Ethan bid his farewell to his friends as he went towards another journey to the city that was said to be full of sage the central city of alchemy there he would compete with other young inspiring alchemists in the pill competition.

Travelling on the wide forest Ethan arrived in a small village which served as an outpost for travellers like him resting for a while Ethan heard some rumours about Bright City which was the fastest route he had to take to arrive early at his destination.

''Have you heard about the daughter of the city Lord''

''Yeah I heard that two days ago she went missing while training inside the Lord's training grounds''

''I did hear that the culprit are the members of a dark guild''

They continue to chatter while Ethan returns his focus to the map that his holding.

''Are we going to that city?''

Pyr begins to ask.

Ethan nodded then he stored his map again going to the route nearest to Bright City.

''This forest was famous for having different kinds of ore one of them is the one I need to restore the broken sword that I bought''

''Master why fix it when you already have so many weapons stored in your ring''

Ethan laughed a bit before answering,

''It became a hobby of mine to fix some broken stuff that I have taken interest with''

He continued to travel around the woods until he arrived in a large den of crystal Lions he looked at them and saw the the ore he was looking for.

The so-called crystal Lions are fire-breathing lions whose bodies are covered with red to orange crystal.

''Crystal Lions eat crystal ore to energise themselves that's why they would occupy the place where crystal ore could be found''

Ethan sat down on the branch of a large tree observing the crystal Lion's movements.

''Are we going to kill them?''

Pyr looks at the crystal Lions with burning eyes.

Ethan merely shook his head and said,

''Crystal Lions are smart beings and can be easy to talk to as long as you are honest with them''

Saying this Ethan jumped from the tree he was sitting at and landed in front of the crystal lions.

The crystal lions all look vigilant at him but Ethan merely looks at them bowing his head slightly then he takes out the meat of the sky viper he hunted back at Tiger City.

Roar!

The largest one of them moved forward sniffing on the meat Ethan gave afterwards he took out a piece of fine crystalline metal.

That's the crystal ore Ethan was looking for. He looked at the crystal lion before bowing his head again but then he noticed that their leader seemed to have reached a bottleneck with his cultivation so he threw him a level 6 elevation pill to give him a little push to advance then he set off again.

Ethan caressed the crystal ore looking very pleased.

''You look happy''

Ethan look at Pyr before laughing a bit.

''I'm just pleased that he gave us a fine crystal ore, to tell you the truth I was afraid he would give us a white one but he gave us a red which was refined by his flames removing any impurities and maximizing its strength''

Ethan then accelerates his movements until he stops in front of a huge tree.

''This place should do it'' he then summoned the orb garden and with a flick of his thoughts he entered the orb garden.

Opening his eyes a bountiful forest entered his view with the orb in hand he began to examine the place.

The orb garden is divided into Six divisions, the first is the Fire division where the flame-based plants live, second is the Water division where aquatic plants grow. Third was the Earth division a rainforest was there for plants to grow, and fourth Desert division is for those plants that are used for dry lands. Fifth was the Wind division where large cliffs reside where high latitude plants nurture themselves from the essence qi brought by the wind. Lastly, Ice division cold-based plants grow and are nurtured there.

Last time when he made the corpse puppets he used the desert or dry division as the place to forge them.

''This place is as beautiful as before'' Ethan said to himself while breathing the bountiful essence qi. At first, he was afraid that he had destroyed or disturbed the herbs and plants residing here when he made his forging but seeing everything fine he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

''Now you should learn how to manage this place'' Pyr's voice woke him from his thoughts and they began to travel the entire forest like a garden.

''Yes so what's the first thing I should do?'' he asked suddenly he ended up bumping towards a silver fox, poor thing ended up rolling on the ground before hitting its head on a huge root.

Ethan feeling guilty immediately ran towards the little fox he hurriedly carried it to his arms and fed it with the pills he had.

''I'm sorry I didn't see you there?''

The little beast looked at him before licking Ethan's fingers this action made Ethan fond of the little beast.

Now that he thinks about it how come he doesn't sense its presence thus he curiously looks at the silver fox who ends up sleeping in his arms.

''That little guy is Kip one of the beasts I took in when the last war between the gods and demons happened'' Pyr lazily said while he guided Ethan deeper towards the garden.

Then he saw the borderline between the Earth division which their currently in and the wind division which is located on the other side.

Ethan and Pyr decided to cross when a flying dragon came down and ended up landing at Ethan's head.

''Ugh!'' Ethan was surprised by another arrival of a beast.

''That is Ezar I rescued him when his entire race was being killed by humans'' he explained then he beckoned Ethan to continue.

Now Ethan has a cute dragon on his head a sleeping fox in his arms and a strong demon who looks like a small salamander resting on his shoulder.

He couldn't help but laugh at his situation a parade of cute beasts ended up resting on his body.

''Well let's continue'' Ethan told them as he crossed the border.
