Chapter Seventy-Two: The Calm Before The Storm

"Only if you want me to." He says, stalking towards me in slow, deliberate steps. The tingles on my skin increase as the hairs on my arms rise, anxious to feel his hands on me.

"How could I ever deny you?" I purr, as my hands make contact with his stomach over his shirt, sliding upwards to his chest. A shudder runs through me as he brushes my shoulders, sliding his hands downwards until he reaches my hips, curling his fingers to get a grip. My arms wind around him like a vine, and I nestle my face in his chest, relishing in his warmth.

"I was afraid you would." He says softly, his voice fading into my hair where his face is buried. He holds me tighter, pressing me against him, and I all but melt.
