Xi Ming froze, his face turning beet red, his hands awkwardly hanging mid-air.
Ye Jin blinked at him, a bit curious. "Xi Ming? What were you doing just now?"
Xi Ming quickly pulled his hand back, racking his brain for an excuse. "I... I... Uh... The fruits... Um... I-I was just trying to wake you up to eat some fruits," he stammered and handed her a strawberry-like fruit he had picked, just bigger in size. It was called the seedberry.
Ye Jin raised an eyebrow but decided not to press further. She smiled and took the fruit. "Thank you," she said, about to plop the fruit into her mouth when a loud voice echoed through the forest, interrupting her.
"Ye Jin! Xi Ming!"
Zhou Tang's figure came rushing toward them.
Ye Jin chuckled, already used to Zhou Tang's playful antics, but Xi Ming clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Tsk, why is this nuisance here again?" he muttered under his breath.
