Chapter 14

"What the fuck?!" Giann cursed as he saw the vast valley and his house where he has been living for 17 years burning in fierce flames.

Giann devastated on this event, immediately charged to the fiery flames while holding Jean.

"Were gonna burn!" screamed the little boy as he closed his eyes in fear but to his surprise they didn't get burned.

Jean saw a sphere around them protecting them from the heat from the flames.

"How?" Jean said as he looked at Giann who was dashing towards the burned house.

As a son of a top tier summoner, of course he would receive some kind of cheated item. Now that I, the author think about it, this is too much of leeway for Giann.

"My clothes has some kind of shield that protect me in a very small area so don't worry." Giann answered the question as he arrived at the house.

Giann immediately scanned the area and he actually found traces of fights here. He saw a large sword mark imbedded on the ground and claw marks.

"Where are they? The attackers couldn't have captured my family. I mean my mom and dad are like the strongest. What could have possibl-" Giann spoke as he looked around the house searching for some clues.

To his shock, he actually saw blood marks. Blood marks that the fire couldn't even burn. Giann immediately went closer and touche the blood.

Boom!

"This is demon blood!" Giann yelled in shock as he immediately remembered the species who has black blood swimming in their veins.

[How could demon arrive all the way here in the north while the Dark Abyss is down there on the south?] Giann stood there in the middle of his thoughts.

Dark Abyss was the home of all demons and according to the books that Giann saw, the Dark Abyss was sealed by a powerful mage.

After a few minutes, Giann was woken from his dellima.

"Jean, I'm not sure what happened here but this is my family's house but as you can see something definitely happened here and I don't know what to do so either you stay in the Capital where my brother works or you can go with me?" Giann asked the young boy in a serious tone.

After a few seconds...

"I think I should go to your brother,sir. I will be a burden to you if I tag along." Jean said as he smiled wryly while a little embarrassed.

"Don't worry. Actually, if you're up to it you can learn swordsmanship from him.That would be a great help for me in the future." Giann smiled and ruffled Jean's hair.

"Really?" Jean said with shimmering eyes.

"Yep but my brother don't tolerate slackers. Are you sure you're up to it?" Giann said while remembering his strict brother beating him if he disobeys orders.

"Aye,sir!" Jean replied with a determined look on his face.

As they left the valley they returned to the forest where Giann encountered the three wanted players.

Like Fate wanted, on their way they saw Raven's Group fighting a Giant Orc with pure red skin holding a mace.

[Elder Orc, Lvl 17, Tier 0, Elite Rank]

[HP: 10,000]

Instead of worrying the "Elite Rank" that the orc had the first thing that popped in Giann's head was...

EXP!

Yes! Nothing in this world could Giann match his love for EXP. Before he came to this world, Giann was crazy about grinding on those MMORPG games especially in Genshin Impact.

Giann loved to use his Raiden and Kazuha to bully those low-leved windchurls.

Irritated because of his family being gone and his love for EXP. Giann told Jean to stay and wait as dashed and jumped above the rampaging Orc and drew his sword in mid air and Giann was pulled directly to the Orc's neck in the back as he twirled and twirled like a helicopter's proppeler immediately decapitating the Orc.

[-7,000HP (Bonus Critical Damage of 4,000HP]

"Shinzou wou Sasageyo!" Giann said as he landed on the ground with blood on his clothes.

The reason of this insane but more of like a cheat insane amount damage was Giann's sword was of course a cheated which OF COURSE, was the reason but little did Giann knew a part of that damage came from something or SOMEONE else.

"Where did these Achievement and Draw Supplies Ticket even come from? The only possibility is that it came from the Advance System." Giann spoke as wondered as he stood there in the middle of the field talking to himself forgetting that he wasn't the only one on the field.

"Should we talk to him right now?" Chaunce said as he scratched the back of his head.

"Give him a couple of moments, turns out this apex player in front of us is really absent minded." Raven smiled and placed his arm on his head and shake.

"EHHHH?!" All the members of Raven's Group was shocked as well as Giann. They were so shocked that if were possible their jaws were on the ground and their eyes was popping out of their sockets like a certain anime.

"Ah shit!" Giann cursed after hearing this announcement. He knew that after this announcement many players would either want to get to know him or want to harm him and steal his items. Giann has seen this plot on many novels he has read.

[I really want to keep a low profile but the game wont let me! Shit! I need to lay low for a while I need to master my skills. If I advance to quickly I'll be like a chicken waiting to get slaughtered.] Giann reminded himself not to level up to fast. His greed of EXP would do him more harm than good.

After a few minutes of Giann's overthinking...

Raven's Group stood there like lifeless dolls.They didn't know if they should continue playing this game or not.

After a few minutes of sulking... They approached Giann and thanked him for saving their asses again and helping them gain EXP.

Giann and Jean then seprerated ways with them and headed to Capital where Giann once visited.

Meanwhile Raven's Group was camping where Giann decapitated the Orc.

Raven's team were discussing how in the world can Giann move like that.

In the real world, many players post in the internet about their fights against monsters to gain popularity and there are apex players there flexing their gears and skills but compared to the performance Giann gave them. Those apex players are nothing but clowns!

"His skills are really inhumane even I can't read his movements and he just appeared out of nowhere and killed the Elite Orc." Raven spoke.

"I also didn't see him in our area then popped out of nowhere as if he was a ghost." Dean Zi also commented.

Blazing Zhalene and Erickan nodded with agreement.

"But the strange thing is that the apex players couldn't even move like that even with the highly advanced developed VR equipments in their possession they couldn't perform a single feat Giann did yet somehow, Giann could all those extraordinary feats as if he was only doing some morning excercise. It's as if he was not a player at all." Raven said as he sat there in a position like the Thinker.

Boom!

Revelation struck the members. They continued to think more possibilities until...

"Oh yeah. I saw a video in MeTube that some of the admins of the game had already started making the VR equipments more upgraded and we can move more effeciently. Maybe he's very rich and had already have this VR equipment." Chaunce said as he remembered.

"Oh yeah I saw that too." Dean Zi said and they shifted the topic and gradually forgetting Giann.

Though even the topic shifted, Raven still sat there and think that this wasn't just a equipment advantage but something more than meets the eye.

Giann and Jean arrived at the Capital during the middle of the night. Though even it's the time of the night to sleep the guards guarding the entrance stood there without batting an eye.

"Halt! What are you doing here in the middle of the night?" stated the guard as he pounded his long battle axe on the ground once to assert his authority.

"We need to see Smoky." Giann said politely.

"Smoky?" the guard said with a confused tone.

[Now that I think about it, I can't seem to remember our last name even when I came here to this world 17 years ago. That's weird?] Giann thought as he went to his absent minded state.

"Oh you mean General Smoky Voltimore. Do you have any kind of identity to prove your business with the General?" The guard said as he ask some kind verification.

[Voltimore?! Why can't I seem to know or remember this?] Giann exclaimed in his mind. He immediately thought of a no-nose wizard after hearing this.

"Will this do?" Giann showed a badge, that his brother gave him after they departed.

After a few seconds of inspecting the badge, the guards gave Giann and Jean a thumbs up for approval while giving them space to enter the entrance of the Capital.

After a few minutes of finding Smoky's office with the help of the guards...

Knock. Knock

The sound of the door being knocked was heard by Smokey, who was packing his stuff to go to sleep.

"Come in." Smoky spoke while yawning.

Creak.

The door opened but to a certain extent and an eye was seen staring Smoky.

Smoky, who was tired and yawning and saw an eye staring at him.

Smokey, immediately threw a knife direct to the eye but the door suddenly closed.

"Bro, chill." a voice said behind the door.

"What the hell are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be on your little adventure?" Smoky said as he placed his head on his desk wanting to sleep.

Giann opened the door with Jean behind him.

"About that." Giann said and told his recent adventures except the part that included Amused Abyss shit.

"Demons?! I thought they were sealed in the magical barrier?!" Smoky said with a shock on his face while interrupting Giann's story.

"I also thought about that but it seems that Divine Demon is going to awaken." Giann spoke.

"This is inevitable. You also saw what was on those books on Mom's shelves." Smoky spoke as he stared at his younger brother. Those books contained the history of their world and it included the story of the Divine Demon.

This story will be included later in future chapters.

"Yes and the thing is." Giann then continued to tell the events that took happened in their home.

"Who in the hell could make mom and dad disappear?" Smoky said in confusion and with worried expression.

"I wondered the same thing. Anyway, we know that our crazy parents are not pushovers. We should at least not be too worried about their safety." Giann said with a determined look knowing their parent's personality.

"Of course. Now, who is this young boy standing behind your back?" Smoky said as his interest grew at the young boy who had been standing there behind his younger brother.

"This is Jean, a survivor of the village I told you before. I wish that you take him as an apprentice." Giann said as he encouraged the boy to go in front of him.

Smoky saw Jean up front and he was immediately surprised of what he saw in him.

Smokey looked at Giann and both nodded.

"Fine. I will take care of the boy."

Now let's go have a good night's sleep. This work and recent news is killing me." Smoky stood up from his chair and told the two to follow him.

The group went outside the building and went to a two-floored house next door.

"Make yourselves at home. There are two rooms above. If you're hungry go to the kitchen there are leftovers there I left at lunch. If you need anything I will be on my room sleeping peacefully." Smoky said as he entered his room and closed the door.

"You can sleep on your own right?" Giann asked Jean with an awkward expression.

"Don't worry. I can sleep on my own." Jean said with shy smile.

Finally after a long day of travelling, the group slept peacefully without any trouble.
